Giini & Palith as weyrlings
It had taken Giini all of 30 heartbeats to decide that Ryslen felt like home. Of course, it took much longer for Giini to find somewhere to move all her plants to, and still have space for Palith.
Several wingriders from the Misty Mountain Wing pitched in to help get Palith’s weyr and Giini’s living space cleaned up from seasons of debris. Not one, except Giini, was surprised when Wingleader A’ndo joined the crew.
“Afternoon A’ndo.”
“Hey Wingleader.”
The search ended when a rider suggested a multiple-cavern weyr that had been unused for turns, as the lowest of the caverns had partially collapsed, leaving a gaping hole (and a hideous draft through the rest of the caverns).
Giini took one look at the site, and made arrangements with J’kosh and Tiyanni to have that half-cavern turned into a greenhouse. It would take some work, but both Giini and Palith were willing to put up with a draft... until winter, but hopefully the glass would be up by then.
“A’ndo - you here to help or to supervise?” The last, of course, came from L’ken.
A’ndo laughed and slapped his wingthird on the back. “Depends on how far along you all are.”
“We’re doing great, A’ndo.” Tylar said, wondering where Infy had gone with her washrag, and why it had come back with green paint on it.
Giini grinned. “Your wingriders have been very helpful - I’m very appreciative.”
“We’re glad to help.” G’rin said, a broad smile on his face.
“We’d do anything we could to help one of our own.” Drikara said, coming around from Palith’s weyr.
Giini did a double take. “Did I hear...”
A’ndo nodded. “You’re flying with us, Giini. Welcome to the Misty Mountain Wing.”
A cheer rose from the riders, and Palith trumpeted happily.
