The Programming Director loves these crazy guys from Montreal. In-your-face and brimming with attitude, this is the archetypal East Asian cinema "fanboy" page taken to sublime heights (or depths depending on how one sees "fandom".) Suprisingly thoughtful and willing to give oft-maligned films a second look.

Midnight Eye Japan
The guys at Mignight Eye claim that they deal only with contemporary Japanese cult cinema. That's balderdash! They're the best site on contemporary Japanese cinema, period. Thought-provoking with unparalleled English-coverage of obscure titles, Midnight Eye is the place to go for reviews, interviews, and essays about contemporary Japanese cinema.

Subway Cinema Hong Kong, Korea
A film group in New York City that makes the city just that much better with its excellent film screenings and retrospectives. If you're in NYC, you cannot miss a Subway Cinema movie event.

Teleport City "Mutant Culture"
The Programming Director wishes that he could write movie reviews like Keith Allison. Teleport City is a site "that celebrates mutant culture" and has a suprisingly good amount of brilliant observations to make on East Asian cinema as well as film in general. A must-read for people who love movies.
