Andy Holt

Position - Left Back / Left Wing
Notes - Holt is well known to City fans already as he spent the end of last season here on loan from Oldham. City were known to be interested in signing him permanently and did shortly after the end of the campaign. Strong in the tackle but competent going forward.

David Lee
From - Southend (Free)
Age - 21
Position - Central Midfield
Notes - Was able to leave Roots Hall under the age of 23 due to them being unable to increase his wages. Lee expressed his disappointment at being played on the wing for the Shrimpers when the centre of the park is his natural position. Likes to get forward and support the attack; he scored 10 goals last season from the wing.

Matthew Bloomer
From - Grimsby Town (Free)
Age - 22
Position - Centre Back, but can play anwhere in defence.
Notes - Left in Mariners reserves for much of last season after promising start at the club. Impressed Brian Little in 2 reserve outings for City towards the back end of season so much, he swooped to sign him.

Matthew Glennon
From - Bolton (Ł50,000)
Age - 22
Position - Goalkeeper
Notes - Impressed on loan at Carlisle last season but the Cumbrians did not make an offer for the highly rated keeper and City did. Glennon did not fancy more time in the Bolton reserves and brings with him a great reputation and strong potential. Will run Paul Musselwhite all the way for the No. 1 jersey.

Julian Johnsson
From - Sogndal (Ł50,000)
Age - 25
Position - Central Midfield
Notes - Another International joins The Tigers! Julian Johnsson has been capped 46 times by The Faroe Islands. He stands at 6'3, and is a stong, quick midfielder, with a great work rate. Adam Pearson and Brian Little believe he will add experience and a good attitude to a relatively young side.

Gary Alexander
From - Swindon (Ł160,000)
Age - 21
Position - Forward
Notes - Although he did not have a great time at Swindon, scored 16 goals in 20 games while on loan at Exeter in the 1999/2000 season prompting Brian Little to sign him during the summer. Has vowed to score the goals to fire City to promotion.

Ben Petty
From - Stoke City (Free)
Age - 24
Position - Centre/Right Back
Notes - Brian Little brought Petty to Stoke from Aston Villa, and thinks highly of him. Played over 30 times for the Potters last season. Could get the right back role but will face competition from Bloomer and Edwards.

Scott Kerr
From - Bradford (Nominal)
Age - 19
Position - Central Midfield
Notes - Was said to be Bradford's brightest prospect last year which left many Bantams fans wondering why Jim Jefferies let him go. Kerr is a strong aggressive midfielder who is not afraid of a shot at goal.

Ryan Williams
From - Chesterfield (Ł150,000)
Age - 22
Position - Right Wing
Notes - It took a while longer than expected at first, but the Tigers finally landed Ryan Williams on June 19th. The winger played brilliantly for the Spireites last season, and was easily their best player when they visited Boothferry Park in April. Posesses great speed and wonderful dribbling ability, and provides high quality service to strikers both in the air and on the ground.

Lawrie Dudfield
From - Leicester (Ł210,000)
Age - 21
Position - Forward, Winger
Notes - Mainly a striker, but can play on the wing. Has great strength and speed, and was highly thought of by Martin O' Neill, who manged the 21 year old at the Foxes after buying him from Kettering Town at the age of 16.

David Beresford
From - Huddersfield (Free)
Age - 24
Position - Left/Right Wing
Notes - Likely to start on the left wing for City, Beresford comes with a high pedigree. The former England schoolboy international is regarded as one of the fastest players outside the Premiership. Has spent the last 3 years at Huddersfield after they bought him from Oldham, whom he made over 70 apperances for, but injury has restricted his opportunities. However, his problems have now cleared up.

Michael Price
From - Everton (Free)
Age - 19
Position - Defender/Midfielder
Notes - Price was a member of the championship winning Everton reserve and Under 19 sides last season. Predominantly a full back, but can also play in midfield. Was signed on a 3 month contract and is determined to impress.

Nicky Mohan
From - Stoke City (Free)
Age - 30
Position - Centre Back
Notes - Shockingly left Stoke for City as he was the club skipper last season and made over 40 appearances. Will not want to play second fiddle to anyone, so competition awaits him.
