A louvre mechanism, covering a fan, is activated by a Shape Memory Bending Element. The Shape Memory strip is heated by a PTC150 to avoid overheating problems. In the "cold" position, a bias spring holds the louvre mechanism closed, and prevents flapping of the louvre by the wind.
