Programs

Lunar Selenographic Colongtitude

Astronomical application

Although most people would not find this program very interesting, I think that this is a nice program to download nonetheless. I personally like the lunar animation.
The original program and astronomical math, I got from Astronomy Magazine. I just added a few things such as: a better interface, animation, time zone adjustment, and future phases of the moon.

Solar System Orrery

Astronomical simulation

[Orrery Screenshot] An orrery is a contraption that simulates the motions of the planets in the Solar System. This program is one such thing. And it shows the planets in real-time 3D! Various controls enable you to set simulation settings such as 3D camera, simulation speed, distance rendering, and the like. BTW, being a simple orrery, this program does not predict actual planet positions and also, Pluto wasn't included. :)

Simple Gravity Simulator

Physics simulation

Ever wanted to learn how to apply your Physics concepts in making gravity simulations? Well, this program is a simple simulator. Well documented so that it's easy to learn how it works.
This program simulates the motion of a satellite on its highly elliptical orbit around a planet. You can change some stuff in it to make different kinds of orbits.

An Analysis of Color Blindness through the Computer

Presentation program

[Screenshot] I'm wondering why I put this up. Well, this is the program I created to present the results of the research we did for my high school's Science Congress (Science Fair to you Americans). And our project won first place in the Original Category!
Just read the accompanying documentation (Word 7.0; Win 95) to learn more about our science project.

SEAV Font II

Font routines

I got tired of seeing monospaced fonts in computer programs. So I made my own font—which is drawn using the DRAW statement in QB. The program contains the basic subroutines that you need to use the fonts. And running the program shows some possible uses for the font routines.

Magic Card Viewer

Demo program

This is simply a program which demostrates my font routines, SEAV Font II (see above). Those who play Magic: The GatheringTM from Wizards of the Coast will recognize the information presented by the program. By no means are these real cards—they're just creations of my imagination. Some cards are very feasible while others are just for laughs.

Keyboard Handler

Keyboard routine

Presenting my very easy to use keyboard routine that has only one sub and two small arrays for implementation (and one BSAVE file). If you need multiple keypresses in real-time, then my keyboard routine is the one to use (that is, if you're not using Dash or DQB :}).

HTML Checker

Web Site Utility

I'm proud to say that I made this site entirely by hand using the best HTML editor, MS-DOS Edit. As such, I'm liable to make mistakes, so I made my own simple HTML checker to spot syntax errors. This is not a full-fledged checker. It only checks for simple errors such as missing tags.
