You must find out all you can about your destination.  Use this as a guide for your research.
 

1. Distance from the sun (or planet, if a moon).  Include units such as kilometers.
 

2. Size of the planet or moon, (usually expressed as the diameter) use kilometers.
 

3. Orbital period (length of the day on your planet or moon).  Use earth-days or earth-years if available.
 

4. Describe the atmosphere on your planet or moon.  What will you breathe?  What will you need in order to survive on the surface?
 
 

5. Describe the average temperature on the surface of the planet/moon.  Describe what you found about the climate.
 
 

6. How many moons or rings are in the planetary system you will be visiting?
 
 

7. How was your destination discovered?  By whom and when?
 
 

8. How did your planet or moon get its name?

 

9. Have any spacecraft visited this place, manned or unmanned?  If so, tell about them.
 
 
 

10. What kind of adjustments will need to be made in order to survive on your trip?  What do you think the trip will be like?  What will you take with you?
