I have deduced the connection of John to James(1836) from the following information:
In the 1901 Census for 186 Islands Brow, (Head Joseph A Peachy) William Foster(B. 1873) is described as Brother in Law.
Wife of the head is Margaret(B. 1863)
My Grandmother Margaret Foster(B. 1878) is described as Cousin.
In the 1881 Census for 29 Crab St John has a daughter, Margaret(B. 1863) and a son William(B. 1873)
I have assumed that this connection makes Margaret(B. 1878) the niece of John thus linking him to James(B. 1836)
Further to this I remember, as a child, Auntie Maggie Peachy living with my Grandmother at 31 Chadwick Rd.

Margaret is a widow in 1891 Census
