29th May 2005 - This is the date that almost 3 years of hard work came to fruition with the official opening of the Community Garden The garden was opened be the regional representative of the National Allotments and Liesure Gardens Association (NALGA). The event was well attended by residents, local councilors and many of our long-term supporters and a enjoyable time was had by all. As part of the festivities there was demonstrations of willow art and also information on recycling and composting.. Cymthia even took part designing and building an effigy of a large bird to act as a bird-scarer. The community garden is now open so please use it. Photographs of the opening will be along soon
