The Process

 

  1. To fulfill your group task, you will each assume one of the following roles: Lecture Writer, Graphic Artist, Researcher, Expert on Middle East Affairs, Member of the Family of one of the Missing Israeli Soldiers and Member one of he Voluntary Organizations that work on behalf of the cause of the Missing Israeli Soldiers. A description for each role is included.
  2.  

    Lecture Writer: It is the responsibility of this person to write the final script of the lecture. This person has to work closely with the other members of the team, coordinating the group work. The other members will provide relevant information as they find it, and also creative input.

     

    Graphic Artist: It is the responsibility of this person to find photographs, maps, graphics, drawings, etc., and design and prepare the visual presentation. This person will ensure that all the relevant material is included when and where needed. The other members will provide creative input for the visual product.

     

     

    Researcher: It is the responsibility of this person to get the facts for the presentation. This person should find and summarize relevant information about the kidnapped soldiers, and suggest where it should be placed in the lecture and the visual presentation.

     

    Expert on Middle East Affairs: It is the responsibility of this person to get the facts about the hostile organizations and countries involved in capturing and keeping the Israeli soldiers. This person should find and summarize relevant information, and suggest where it should be placed in the lecture and the visual presentation.

     

    Member of the Family of one of the Missing Israeli Soldiers. It is the responsibility of this person to get the facts about what the families have done to bring the kidnapped soldiers back so far. Accordingly, paying special attention to the role that the families of the soldiers have played, this person should find and summarize relevant information, and suggest where it should be placed in the lecture and the visual presentation.

     

    Member of one of he Voluntary Organizations that work on behalf of the cause of the Missing Israeli Soldiers. It is the responsibility of this person to get the facts about what the Israel has done so far to bring the kidnapped soldiers back. Paying special attention to the role that this organization has played, this person should find and summarize relevant information, and suggest where it should be placed in the lecture and the visual presentation.

     

     

  3. All members of the group are expected to contribute in each area. Be creative. Feel free to add whatever makes your product more visual.
  4.  

  5. Once you have researched your particular area, get together with your group members and discuss your findings. This is the chance for all group members to give their input on script ideas, visual effects, etc.
  6.  

     

  7. Rehearse your lecture, including the visual presentation. Make sure that you put a lot of emotion and feeling into your reading of the script.
  8.  

  9. All the members of the team are expected to take part in the oral presentation.
