Awesome Autobiographies On-Line Project

    Main Concept: Students will reflect upon and write about life experiences based upon
                                   several given questions.
    Supporting Concepts:

        1. The student will verbalize life events in chronological order.

        2. The student will analyze importance of life events.

        3. The student will share and compare life experiences with other students.

        4. The student will express the importance of reflecting on the past and how it relates
             to future events.

    Objectives of this project:

        1. To enhance the classroom social studies program.

        2. To develop writing and technology skills.

        3. To aesthetically display student work and skills on the World Wide Web.

        4. To procure keypals with similar skills and interests.

        5. To share ideas among teachers on a national level.

        6. To meet or enhance the minimum requirements of the state of Alabama Course of
            Study:

    Recommended age and number of participants: This project is opened to
        classes of students in grades 1-3. The first fourteen classroom correspondents will be
        included in the WWW project.

    Registration Procedures and Requirements:

        1. Entries must be postmarked by October 1, 1999. Original student artwork to be
            enclosed with entries is encouraged.

        3. Teacher should include with classroom entry at least one follow-up activity. This
