	Natalie Portman [ imdb ] Probably the most respected actress featured on these pages (along with Naomi Watts, below), Natalie Portman knows how to show just enough to look stunning, without going overboard. There may be a touch of the "Hillary Swank Syndrome" here: an actress re-asserting her femininity after removing some aspect of it for a role. After Natalie shaved her head for the making of V For Vendetta, she appeared at the Revenge Of The Sith premiere in Cannes in a flimsy dress that showed off her nipples to great effect. This may be the only good thing to come out of the film adapatation of Alan Moore's brilliant "V For Vendetta"... it's produced by Joel Silver and adapted by the Wachowski brothers - not a team known for their subtlety or deft hand with material.
	Naomi Watts [ imdb ] Naomi is probably best known at this particular moment for her role in the current remake of King Kong. Anyone who has seen 21 Gramms will remember the love scene where Naomi's nipples made an indelible mark on the audience. Now, Naomi apparently went ballistic when this was mentioned in a review, and we don't mean to be disrespectful, but this red carpet picture seems to show that it's not just nude love scenes - it's hard for her to conceal those babies even in a formal dress. In fact, there's a scene in Kong where they make an appearance thru a similar dress!
	Estella Warren [ imdb ] Estella started off as a synchronized swimmer from the age of 7 until 17. She was then spotted by a talent scout at a high school fashion show. Really - where does this parallel world start where it's ok to approach schoolgirls with a view to telling them that they're attractive, and you'd like to pay them to dress up nicely. Aren't there laws? Anyway, this contact led to a modelling career, and then, sure as eggs is eggs, the law of Hollywood says that leads to acting. And it did. The lackluster and unnecessary remake of Planet of the Apes was her first major role. Although it led to a higher profile, it didn't exactly lead to a stellar career. 	Anne Hathaway [ imdb ] American actress who, back in 2004, made one of the most high profile see-through faux-pas at the School Of Rock premiere :-) When not showing off the goods, she still likes to frame them attractively :-)
	Erika Christensen [ bio ] American actress who started off at the tender age of 15 in the suggestively titled Leave It To Beaver (not nearly as good as it might suggest) and shot to international fame in 2000's Traffic. Her subsequent career has perhaps not been as stellar as might have been expected, but she constantly sets the red carpet on fire. 	Alicia Witt [ bio ] Alicia is an American actress who made her debut in David Lynch's Dune in 1984 at the tender age of 9. There was a gap of 6 years before she started picking up more work, again for David Lynch, starting with Twin Peaks. It was her role as Zoey in the sitcom Cybil that put her back in the limelight. By now Alicia was 20, and attracting attention: she exudes a kind of casual sexiness that's very appealing. And makes us wonder why she hasn't managed to build a higher profile.
	Bar Rafaeli [ site ] Born June 4th 1985 in Israel, Bar is a stunning fashion model. But she may currently be best known for dating actor Leonardo di Caprio. Here we see her wearing a particularly low-cut dress to a charity dinner. She seems to be enjoying the dinner itself in the first photo. On the red carpet, she appears happy to be the centre of attention in one pic, and not-so-happy in the next. We're happy 100% of the time.
	Mariah Carey [ imdb ] Crazy chanteuse Mariah is well known for her penchant for tight, short dresses, and other clothes that show off her fit body to greatest effect. She likes to dress to impress when she goes to awards shows to pick up a gong or two. A lesser site might have said that mariah always has two enormous gongs with her, but we're better than that. 	Gillian Anserson [ imdb ] Born August 9th 1968, Gillian rose to fame as Special Agent Dana Scully in The X Files. Although these pics are pretty tame compared to the others on this page, we like Anderson, so we wanted to include her. And it gave us the chance to include that pic of her with new hottie on the block Megan Fox.
	Tia Carrere [ imdb ] Born Althea Rae Duhinio Janairo on January 2nd 1967, Tia's first major claim to fame was playing Cassandra, the love interest in Wayne's World. Before that she had done the circuit with bit parts on shows like Airwolf, The A-Team and MacGyver. Sadly, her post-Wayne career hasn't been stellar. She managed to land her own vehicle with the Tomb Raider knock-off Relic Hunter. It managed three seasons from 1999 to 2002, but it wasn't any good. After its cancellation, Tia returned to bit parts and the occasional meaty role. She appeared in Playboy in 2003 - a clear sign that something was needed to boost her career, and that thing was bare skin. Nothing wrong with that - Tia looks amazing, and the shoot was classy, but it doesn't seem to have done the trick career-wise. These pics show that, having just turned 40, she can work the red carpet with the best of them.
	Uma Thurman [ imdb ] Uma may now be best known for her kick-ass role in Kill Bill, but she has a long and varied resume. It was probably her appearance in Dangerous Liasons that shot her into the spotlight. Subsequent outings in Henry and June, Robin Hood, Mad Dog and Glory and Even Cowgirls Get The Blues cemented her career on the A-list. Since then, she's probably had more ups than downs, and in Hollywood that's about as good as you can ask for. The photo here shows Uma with what a friend of ours termed baby bonus.
	Virginie Ledoyen [ imdb ] Virginie had a healthy career in her native France, but it was 2000's The Beach that shot her into the A-list. She subsequently went back to working in France. The lure of Hollywood seems to have had no effect. We can be thankful that French cinema has a more liberal attitude to nudity :-) Virginie's paternal grandfather was of Spanish decent, which may have added a little something extra to the genes that gave her such stunning looks. Here, Virginie is pictured at two awards shows. The second pic could count as a see-through appearance, but we put them both together.

	Natalie Raitano [ imdb ] American actress probably best known for her role in VIP with Pamela Anderson. In true Charlies Angels fashion, Natalie was the business-like brunette to Pammy's ditzy blonde. We always thought Nat was the best looking one on the show. She's pictures here at the Kill Bill premiere - not sure if this goes under skimpy or see-through! :-)
	Kelli Garner [ imdb ] Kelli is an American actress who is not very well known over this, eastern side of the Atlantic. Her most high profile role was probably in Martin Scorsese's The Aviator. She has a generous and well-developed bust which she uses to good effect on the red carpet and in her roles. We'd rank her alongside Katherine Heigl in that respect.
	Jennifer Lopez [ imdb ] JLo... Jenny On The Block... etc. Her mad, diva antics have made her hard to take, in the same way you can't watch Tom Cruise any more without thinking of sofa-jumping lunatics who believes in all kinds of crazy-ass nonsense. But there was a time she was simply Jennifer Lopez: actress. She was in a good movie (Out of Sight). And she was hot. She could be argued to have started the modern show-it-all red carpet style with this infamous plunging-below-her-navel dress a few years back. The second picture shows that Jenny still known the value of a little reveal... even if she's toned it down since her most famous red carpet appearance.
	Jewel Kilcher [ bio ] Jewel started off as a folky singer-songwriter, but soon she was going for the glamour prizes, as seen here. 	Paz Vega [ imdb ] Seeing as we're on the subject of hot, latin babes with a penchant for showing off what they've got, let's bring in Paz Vega. She popped onto our radar at Euroeros with her steamy role in Sex and Lucia, and made her mark stateside with the Spanglish. Initially Paz played it pretty cool - acting as the pretty tomboy to Penelope Cruz's smouldering femme fatale. But, as you can see, she has stopped shying away from wowing the crowds with her amazing body.
	Scarlett Johansson [ imdb ] Scarlett exploded onto the scene in The Man Who Wasn't There and Lost In Translation. Since then, she's been playing every "I'm a naughty little girl" move in the book. From tales of sex in elevators, to "complaining" about how big movie posters make her chest look, she's been at pains to keep her sexuality at the forefront of her public image.
	Salma Hayek [ imdb ] Salma is both extremely hot, but also classy enough to keep it under wraps when style dictates. The kind of style that only a priveleged upbringing in Mexico's highest social circles can bring. In these pics, she shows that she knows when to play it classy, and when to heat things up! 	Michelle Williams [ imdb ] Michelle was one of the Dawson's Creek kids, and will probably be known as that for the next 20 years. But time has moved on, and angst-ridden teens are surely onto Roswell or The OC by now. These days, Michelle seems to look permenantly unhappy, but I'd bet that her husband (not pictured) is happy as a pig in muck! Michelle is pregnant, and is swelling in all the best places. It was probably Uma Thurman who really kick-started this business of showing off what a friend referred to as "baby bonus" on the red carpet.
	Heather Graham [ imdb ] A devotee of transcendental meditation, yoga and... poker? Yep, Heather Graham is a strange one. Raised Catholic to an FBI agent father and a school teacher mother, she has gone on to play a porn actress on screen twice. Heady stuff for a girl who had to turn down a role in Heathers because her parents thought the language was too racy. Heather has a body which is, well, just hypnotic. And she likes to show it off, both on the red carpet, and in her film roles.
	Rose McGowan [ imdb ] Born September 5th 1973, Rose can be seen most recently in Planet Terror.
	Thora Birch [ imdb ] Thora began her career at the ripe old age of 6! She appeared in adverts for Quaker Oats. She went on to play daughters/kids in films like Patriot Games. Her big break came with American Beauty. Since then, she's reminded us once or twice that she's all grown up now. These pics show that she's aware of her best assets, but what's the deal with the makeup? Did she just wake up?
	Keira Knightly [ imdb ] British toff tot, best known for her appearance in Pirates Of The Caribbean alongside Johnny Depp. She appeared in The Hole alongside Thora Birch, above. 	Jennifer Connelly [ imdb ] Jennifer has gone through more phases in her the 2 decades of her acting career so far than most actresses will manage in a lifetime. From early teen star in 80s fantasy flick Labryinth to serious actress in Ang Lee's misunderstood Hulk. But in all instances, she keeps her top packed! 	Carla Gugino [ imdb ] Carla's career oscillates back and forth: indie movies, tv shows, decent budget movie and back. Favoured by Robert Rodriguez for roles in Sin City and Spy Kids, she's currently in sci-fi series Threshold.
	Virginia Madsen [ imdb ] Virginia's career has been one of a great initial impact (Electric Dreams and Dune ), then bubbling along just under the surface for a while (Candyman and Highlander II ), and then re-emergence into the limelight with Sideways. But it's got to be said: she was always hot, and still is!
	Hillary Swank [ imdb ] Hillary Ann Swank may well be the originator of the current wave of maybe-accidental-maybe-not see-through clothing on the red carpet. When attending the premiere for her movie Boys Don't Cry she arrived in a basically transparent dress. Some commentators have speculated that, since she played a man so convincingly in that film, she did this on purpose just to make sure everyone knew she was all woman. And she certainly is. Although she hasn't felt the need to repeat the performance, she does still wear some very glamourous and tight clothes on the red carpet, like the ones seen here. 	Jennifer Esposito [ imdb ] Best known over this side of the Atlantic as the hot chick in Michael J. Fox-era Spin City, before the Heather Locklear / Charlie Sheen combo took over, Jennifer seems to have the hang of the red carpet dance! This photo shows that even when she's not rocking the see-through tops, she can still get an appreciative gasp from the assembled masses.
	Kelly Hu [ imdb ] Known over here as "that hot girl who was in X-Men 2, and was a bit like Wolverine", Kelly Hu is a fourth-generation American with Chinese, Hawaiian and English ancestory. A former Miss Teen USA, Kelly modelled in Japan and Italy, and got her break on the television show Growing Pains in 1987.
	Natalie Appleton [ Appletons bio ] One of the sisters Appleton from now-defunct all-girl pop group All Saints, Natalie was always the group minx. Here she is pictured at a press photo-op for the launch of the box office turkey Honest. Does this count as a nipple slip? The jury is out, but we've included the evidence here. Exhibit A, your honour.
	Stacy Keibler [ imdb ] Stacy certainly isn't a household name, but check out the pins! Her main acting credit seems to be appearing in Big Momma's House 2... which isn't much of a claim to fame at all. Her resume certainly reads like a list of male fantasies: she went to an all-girl school; she was a Baltimore Ravens cheerleader; a model; then a wrestler in a group called the Nitro Girls (won WWE Babe Of The Year 2004). Gotta love that dress. Apparently those legs are 42 inches long, which (I think, from memory) ties her with Adriana Sklenarikova for longest legs in the babe biz.
	Rachel Stevens [ official site ] Rachel was a member of manufactured pop outfit S Club 7. Aimed squarely at the pre-teen market, it was unlikely to bother mainstream consciousness. Rachel, however, was a different matter. Clearly, she was the member of the Club for which management had ambitions beyond Saturday morning tv. She has since released two albums as a solo artist, but made little dent into the mainstream adult music business. It may be that Rachel is just too clean and nice to be really interesting. The pictures on the left are the most revealing ones we could find... and that doesn't bode well for her future prospects.
	Lisa Rinna [ imdb ] Not exactly a household name, especially outside the US, Lisa does know how to put on a show on the red carpet. Moving into her mid-forties, however, no one is entirely sure if that's still a good thing. But that didn't stop Lisa from putting on a classic see-through red carpet show a while back. Hey, even if the face is starting to show the miles, she has the breasts for it.

	Traci Bingham Model and former Baywatch babe Traci Bingham is another celeb who, having done Playboy modelling, isn't averse to showing off what she's got when the chance presents itself. Technically, this "outfit" wasn't for the red carpet - it was for a catwalk show. But, being the born entertainer and extrovert she is, Traci wore it for the press on the red carpet too!
