What is Street Lamp Interference (SLI)?
Note:
Under Construction! More to Come...
You can probably guess how weird it would seem, if not totally raving mad, to believe that a person could be able to disrupt electrical and electronic equipment with their mind. Even for the person at "ground zero", who often doesn't realize what's happening. Yet, there seems to be quite a few people who claim to be blessed or, more often, cursed with this unusual form of psychokinesis. Including me, the Eel.
Street Lamp Interference has plagued me all my life. I know what it feels like for all of you "SLIders" who have to deal with malfunctioning electronic equipment, that nasty "tingling" feeling on your skin, and so on...
Unfortunately, many people pass it off as delusional behaviour or coincidence, like blaming it on "overheating" ballasts, and "half-blown" lights trying to reignite, etc, etc...the usual skeptical response. Understandable..., but it's pointless to ignore reality, even if it can't be explained easily.
THE WEAKEST POINT IN AN ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT is often vulnerable to outside interference, whether from a nearby radio tower, cellphone, OR a stressed out person's "vibe" or energy field, as far-fetched or crazy as it may seem. Sure, having a streetlight blow as you walk/drive by it happens to everyone once in a while... By pure coincidence, high pressure sodium lights (the orange ones) are designed to reignite when they're half-blown.
But when you walk/drive down a street after a stressful day, and almost EVERY single light goes out, one after the other, just as you are approaching each light, it's SLI...and probably not a string of faulty ballasts, which would be more statistically improbable than SLI itself.
(What's even
weirder is that when I reached the end of the street, and looked back, they had
all "turned on" again. I
waited there for a few minutes, and not even one blew. So I walked back down the
street, and as I approached almost every light, it
went out, (with the exception of about 4 out of
approximately 16, just like the first time) Now this was proof enough for me,
although feel free to disagree if you aren't convinced.)
Well, to get on with it, here is a description of SLI and EPK:
STREET
LAMP INTERFERENCE (SLI) is the ability of a
person to turn street lamps on and off simply by being near them, as well as
occasionally affecting other electronic and electrical equipment with their
minds. It is almost always unconsciously or semiconscious in nature, and is
usually triggered by a high level of stress or emotions. The human nervous system "runs" on electrical and chemical
signals,
(via
sodium and potassium ions, and neurotransmitter chemicals like serotonin,
dopamine, etc...), and thus creating a small electromagnetic
field. When any person gets stressed out, their nerves fire like crazy! But usually, the electromagnetic field this generates is just not strong enough to do
anything!
But, in people with SLI, this excess electrical energy seems to "escape" the body, thus creating
a much stronger electromagnetic disturbance which can range from "blowing" a streetlight, to blowing a fuse, and
perhaps worse. In
most cases, SLI seems to be a unusually
strong electromagnetic release of stress from these nerves.
NOTE: Some people out there may find that some "electric people" have a powerful vibe and some people may find this unnerving. Don't worry, it's only a powerful "aura". It is completely harmless. In comparison to other forms of electromagnetic radiation, an electric person's vibe or aura (the body's electromagnetic field) is a lot less harmful than the microwave signal that passes through your body when using a cellular phone, so don't worry! If you can feel that someone has a powerful vibe, you are probably more sensitive to electromagnetic energy than most people, or you may even have an ESP ability!
Why is it so hard for people to believe that SOME people can disrupt nearby electrical equipment? It's Darwin's theory of evolution at work...we've just adapted to the constant bombardment of radio waves, microwaves, and all other forms of electromagnetic radiation.
SLI may seem paranormal, but its effects are definitely NOT. Based on my personal SLI incidents, as well as my experiences with other types of electromagnetic interference, I have noticed that both SLI and more conventional electromagnetic fields (EMFs) have the SAME effect. Usually, SLI is stronger, but EMF interference can do the exact same thing. For example, a powerful microwave tower can crash computers, destroy light bulbs, and so on. A lightning strike within a few hundred metres of any streetlights will "randomly" blow or turn them off, while not even making the lights in your house flicker (or vice versa, or both), due to the very powerful electromagnetic field it creates.
Therefore, SLIders probably create some kind of powerful electromagnetic field powerful enough to interfere with electrical and electronic equipment whenever they are stressed out, angry, or whatever else triggers them. .
I have some good news for all others plagued by SLI... it can be controlled consciously as well-at least to some degree!
They
CAN
suppress
it almost completely, except
in moments of extreme stress. Or, they CAN learn how to control and manipulate this stress-triggered
psychokinetic ability consciously, These people may still send out electrical
psychokinetic outbursts when they get stressed out, but they can also
"push" this energy field, (perhaps by "harnessing" and
"redirecting" the ambient electromagnetic fields surrounding and passing
through them (originating in anything that runs on electrical current, radio
waves, or any
organism with a nervous system)).
This is a little different than the classic SLI effect, and is what I like to call ELECTROMAGNETIC PSYCHOKINESIS.
And I'm only one of the few who are blessed/cursed with this ability.
Hey, sometimes when I get really stressed out, circuit breakers trip and fuses blow, and it's lights out! I have an unusually strong form of SLI.
On the other hand, I can wear a watch without frying it. (although all the hair under it now sticks straight up when I take it off, even after being compressed by the watch.) Explain that!
I can keep it under control,
except in extreme
circumstances.
Often, we SLIders disrupt many other things, live TV's, VCR's, and computers, to name a few. It can get really annoying, perhaps even scary, but don't worry,
So, for all of you
who are afflicted with
SLI, try
hypnosis, whether self-hypnosis, or the traditional method.
In fact, anything that puts you in a
relaxed trance will probably
help, whether it's meditation,
yoga,
or even simply taking ten deep breaths when you get stressed out.
Another thing that works to some extent is
a trick I learned...find a normal 60 watt tungsten light on a dimmer switch, dim it to a bearable light level, and "push" at it with your mind. It could take months, perhaps even
years, to even make the light flicker, but it's a good stress release and might just prevent some of the unconscious electrical anomalies that we have to deal with, scary as it may seem.
Sunglasses might be a good idea
with this type of thing.
Fellow SLIders,
If you have any methods that have helped reduce your SLI effects, and would like to share them with others like yourself, please feel free to submit them on my Living with SLI page
I will be publishing more information as soon as possible, so come back soon! This site is still under construction!
Check out the following Street Lamp Interference databases, where people leave their accounts of SLI and other electrical psychokinetic manifestations.
Weird Science "Electric" People's Database
(In World of The Strange, click on "archive search" and type in "electric person")
Now I can't be sure if any of these people are actually "electric people", but I am pretty sure that some are, based on the fact that I've seen (and done) some really strange and unusual stuff. Of course, only proper research will prove it to skeptics, or anyone else.
I've done a few experiments with my own ability, and I'm looking forward to having properly trained parapsychologists and physicists test my ability.
I'd also like to meet other "electric" people.
Please E-Mail me for more information on SLI, etc...
