Convention Themes

All text (abstracts / full papers) must be typed using single or double spacing, in microsoft word 97 (Windows 95). Font is Times New Roman. Font Size 10. Abstratcs must be between 200-250 words. All papers must preferably use the APA (4th Edition) format. The number of pages submitted must be between 10 – 15 pages inclusive of an abstract.

Presenter’s  Responsibility

1. The paper submitted must not have been presented elsewhere.
2. Presentations selected must not have their conceptual content changed substantially after acceptance.
3. Paper presenters are responsible for providing approximately 60 copies of each handouts they intend to use.
4. When there are more than one presenter,  the author designated on the submission form  will be the one corresponded with  and who will be responsible for notifying all co-authors.
Paper, Workshop & Demonstration  Proposal Submissions
1. Complete the submission form.
2. State your topic clearly.
3. Edit and proof-read the paper abstracts carefully. The abstract should include the central idea, supporting evidence and conclusion.
4. Abstract submitted for workshops should include a statement of the workshop or demonstration goal, a summary of the theoretical framework and a precise description of the tasks to be performed during the workshop and demonstration. Each workshop or demonstration should take a minimum of one hour and fifty minutes, including on-going discussions.
Papers
A paper discusses something the presenter has done or is doing in relation to either theory or practice. A paper should be presented orally as an address to the audience, rather than reading from a prepared text. Each presentation is 30 minutes and followed by a 10 minute discussion.
Workshops
In a workshop one or more leaders work with a group helping participants to solve a problem or develop a specific research technique.
Demonstrations
A demonstration shows a specific technique for qualitative research. The demonstration should be done live.
