Using QuickTime to Convert Audio

1.  Open Movie Player (QT 2.5) or QT Player ( QT 4 Pro - on G3).

2. Insert audio CD.

3. Import -> Audio CD -> Convert.

4. Options menu will be on the right side. Choose track. Set quality - 44.100 KHz and 16 bit stereo will take tthe most memory. If you want the entire song, close the option menu. If you only want a portion of the track, set the slides to where you want the music to start and end. Add a bit to the beginning and end in case you will be adding it to a program where you can audio fade in and out. Close Option menu.

5. Save converted file.

6. Export your saved file as an AIFF file (for iMovies) or as a QT movie (for just about anything else). Check what kind of format you need for atypical programs. Again, you can adjust the quality of the audio in the "Use" scroll bar or in the Options menu.
