We started the trekking to Annapurna Sanctuary in a rain. We were worried about the unpredictable weather in the next few days. End out our journey was completed half of the time in the rain. Left top photo is the starting point Nayapu. It was taken when we were back from the trekking. The way to Annapurna Sanctuary follow the Modi Khola (Khola means river in Nepalese). The photos below were the Modi Khola flowing through the forest and looking from a slop to Ghandrung.

How nice to see a rainbow like this after a tiring day. It was very tough on the first day, because it was a first day and we had to climb more than thousand of stone steps. We tiredly arrived in Ghandrung in the rain. The tour guide - Chewan arranged us to be stayed at the top floor. I was not quit happy at the beginning as I had to walk up to forth story after a tiring day. But things changed after awhile. While we were admiring the scenery at the balcony, I was joking that it will be nice to have a rainbow running across the valley in front of us; before we notice it, the colorful rain appeared right across the field and valley. In the night, the top floor was a very good place to look at the stars and the galaxy. Woh, a wonderful starry night that we can never see in a city like Singapore.

After one night rest, we saw this magnificent scenery right out of our room. It was a clear day, we can see the Annapurna South and Hiunchuli clearly. Too bad, can not see Fish Tail Peak (Machhapuchhre) clearly because of the sun right behind the peak. Staying in the guest houses was just like staying in the villages, we were surrounded by the village houses, and we were got to see the farm, the backyard, and the garden around the guest house.
