Avalanche

There are definately some dangers when travel in the mountains. According to the tour guide, there were four persons killed in an avalanche happened about four days before we came. Left: Left over snow of an avalanche on our way. We had to walk on the snow in order to get across to the other end. Right: An avalanche we saw when we leaving Machhapuchhre Base Camp, it happened at the slop right across the valley. The five white lines in the picture which look like waterfall are avalanche.

Snowing Night

It was a very tough day, I completely ran out of energy when I finally arived in Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m). It started to rain again, and it turned to a snow in the evening. All the guests of the guest house sat in the restaurant because there was a fire under the big table to keep the room warm. People came from different country, different races, all sat in the same room, doing their own things, the atmosphere was peacful and harmony. Picture above was taken in the morning when we setting off to Annapurna Base Camp, the guest house was covered with snow!
