This is not a full summary of the Jinchuu arc, but of the parts of the story that directly relate to Enishi.
(SPOILER WARNING) Enishi arrives by boat into Kyoto from Shanghai. He first visits his sister's grave. Due to the events in the Kyoto arc, Kenshin has just been there and has laid flowers on it. This is solid proof (aside from others given by Wu), therefore, that Hitokiri Battousai is still alive. He goes to Tokyo, and collects to himself the five killers who will help him. He chose them because they, too, have grudges against Hitokiri Battousai one way or another. He supplies them with weapons, specifically crafted for their skills. He calls their groups the Six Comrades. Thus the first stage of Jinchuu begins. After the attacks on establishments connected to Kenshin, Enishi himself appears before him, and makes Kenshin remember his sister Tomoe. He warns Kenshin that he will return in ten days to attack the Kamiya dojo itself. It is enough time for Kenshin to fully remember what he "did" to Tomoe, and enough time for Gein to complete the piece de resistance of Jinchuu. At this point in the story, Tomoe in his mind smiles at him, but he breaks down and cries as he remembers her. He reappears at the Kamiya dojo, coming down with the Six Comrades on hot-air balloons. The balloons are the state-of-the-art aircraft of the time, most useful in drop attacks and intelligence efforts. This is Jinchuu's second stage. Enishi lets the other five have a go at Kenshin (who, thankfully, has Yahiko, Sanosuke, and Saitou to help him). All five fail to take Kenshin down. Thus, Enishi himself goes down to fight. At first, Kenshin refuses to fight him seriously, but Enishi begins to tell Kenshin about his life in Shanghai, which he claims are all a result of Kenshin's killing his sister. But as soon as Kenshin fights seriously, Enishi shocks everybody by breaking Kenshin's succession technique and countering all lesser techniques of the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu. He has practiced his Wattoujutsu techniques for years, learning aspects of Kenshin's techniques from reports and finding ways to counter them, for this moment. Nonetheless, Enishi eventually finds himself checkmated, with Kenshin about to deliver a hit to the neck to render him unconscious. Things go toward Enishi's favor, though. Kujiranami, one of the five, comes to and attacks Kenshin at the precise moment he was to finish the fight with Enishi. This leaves a shaken but weirdly grateful Enishi to continue the final stage of Jinchuu. He disappears in the dust, comes behind Kaoru, renders her unconscious, and takes her away. He reappears, and leads Kenshin inside the Kamiya dojo. There, Kenshin finds Enishi's tachi pierced through Kaoru's heart. This delivers the desired effect. Kenshin breaks down in Rakuninmura and kills himself slowly. This is how Enishi thinks his sister wanted it to be. But Kaoru is not dead. Enishi has brought her to a small island, his relay station for weapons into Japan. He lets her remain in a white bathrobe. He plans to eventually bring her back to Tokyo alive, after Kenshin is dead. In the meantime, he tolerates her presence, even eats Kaoru's cooking. When Kaoru tries to escape at one time, Enishi looks again at his sister's apparition, who now is not smiling at him. He concludes that because Battousai's replacement for her is still alive, she is not happy. As Kaoru is about to sneak up on him, Enishi suddenly pounces and tries to strangle her. But he could not do it. He drops her and he vomits. Kaoru now understands. He could not kill a woman even if he wanted to, because all women reminded him of his sister. After a few days pass, it is reported that Kujiranami, who went on a rampage, has been controlled by a redhaired man. Kenshin is also reported to be on the way to the island. Enishi therefore thinks that his sister will not be happy until Kenshin himself is really dead. Enishi fully surrenders his position and holdings with the Shanghai "mafia", and gives it to Wu Heishin, as they have agreed upon once Enishi's revenge was complete. Kenshin and the rest of the -gumi do appear after a while, Kenshin with a new outlook in life, and a strong resolve to rescue Kaoru. Enishi returns Kaoru's clothes to her, and takes her with him down to the beach of the island. A final confrontation between Kenshin and Enishi ensues. Enishi is faster and deadlier than in the earlier fight, as he now aims to kill. It is strengthened by the Nerves of Insanity, a state when all his senses are heightened to their fullest. However, Enishi is no longer as level-headed as in the previous fight, since Kenshin has told him that Tomoe appeared to him, too, and that Kenshin now has his answer. In the course of the battle, Kenshin utilizes the Ryu Mei Sen, a small technique, but one that ruins Enishi's hearing and balance in one ear. The pain it creates is so great, Enishi pierces his eardrum. Kenshin gains an opening, and finishes the fight with the Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki, breaking Enishi's sword and glasses. But just as the fight is done, a half-crazed Wu shoots at Kenshin and hits him on the shoulder, then charges toward Kenshin to kill him. Kaoru runs to get herself between Wu and Kenshin, and Enishi sees this. He finally understands that Tomoe did that very same thing before, go in between Kenshin and his enemy. He punches at Wu, until Kenshin stops him. As Enishi is arrested, Kaoru returns Tomoe's diary to him. It is later reported that Enishi jumped off the police boat and escaped custody. He is last shown in Rakuninmura. He has just read Tomoe's diary, and sits beside Oibore, who (whether he notices or not) is his father.
