Elisa stood on the Castle roof and looked at the stone gargoyles. The sun would be setting soon. She stared at Goliath. Even in stone, he was beautiful.

    After a few moments, she heard the familiar crack of the Gargoyles' stone covering. Goliath was the first to break out of his shell. "Ah, Elisa! Good evening." He said.

    "Good evening to you too, big guy!" she replied. Soon Brooklyn woke, then Broadway, followed by Lexington, Angela, and Hudson.

    "All right.... let's go see my new friends!" Brooklyn said.

    "You seem awfully eager," Lexington said, "Is there one of those friends you'd like to see more then the others?!" He teased. "Mako was all you could talk about last night!"

    "Shaddup, Lex! She's going back to Japan in a little while anyway!" Brooklyn said.

    "Come, lads, before we talk the night away and your friends decide to leave!" Hudson said. They all nodded. Goliath picked up Elisa, and the clan jumped off the roof and glided to the meeting place.

    "They should be here soon," Mako said as she checked her watch. The other girls, and Mamoru, were with her. Soon, they heard a flap of wings, and six gargoyles landed in front of them.

    Setsuna, Haruka, Chibi-Usa, Michiru, and Mamoru gasped. "Wow!!" Chibi-Usa said, "Real Gargoyles!!!" Then she smiled, "I'm Chibi-Usa!"  Introductions were made.

    Haruka eyed the Gargoyles suspiciously, and Michiru gently tapped her arm, "Stop staring..." she whispered quietly.

    "Brooklyn," Mako started, "I need to know... did you see what happened last night? After we told you to leave?"

    "Well.. I ... " Brooklyn started, the sighed, "I'm sorry... I was curious. I saw everything," he said.
 
    "I told you he saw," Rei said.

    "Well, you need not worry," Goliath started, "We shall keep your secret... if you shall keep ours!"

    The group from Japan nodded.

    "Goliath is a Gargoyle of his word," Elisa said.

   Chibi-Usa then looked at Mamoru, "Can we visit Hotaru-Chan?" She asked.

    "Hotaru?" Brooklyn asked. Mako then explained what had happened to Hotaru.

    "This dark one is very dangerous," a voice said. The Gargoyles looked around for the source of the voice.

    "Um... Usagi..." Elisa began. "Did your cat just talk?!"

    "Hai… I mean... yes... I did!" Luna replied, and jumped down from Usagi's shoulders. Elisa and the gargoyles were somewhat taken aback. "Oh, come now! Don't look so surprised, you'll get used to it!" Luna exclaimed.

    "We talk a lot," Artemis interjected, "So you'd BETTER get used to it," and he jumped out of Minako's arms. "We've had dealings with these kinds of enemies before, and it wasn't pleasant."

    "Yes," Luna continued, "They are very powerful. Your friend told you about that monster that attacked the other night? Well, the youmas are usually the weakest."

    "You mean, there are forces above that?" Goliath asked.

    "Yes," Artemis explained, "The youmas are minions who receive their orders from someone else."
 
    "Before Hotaru collapsed, she said 'the dark one' was coming!" Luna started, "But we don't know who the dark one is. Whoever it is, it is the highest enemy right now!"

    Suddenly, a cold breeze chilled everyone to the bone. A strange darkness began to cover the moon. "She's coming closer," Rei said.

    An unidentifiable voice spoke to all, "That's right, Sailor Soldiers! I AM coming closer! Do you think your new friends can help you when they don't even have any powers?!"

    "Who are you?!" Usagi shouted.

    "You may call me The Dark Queen!" The voice said. "I have a present for you, Moon child!" Thevoice disappeared, and all was quiet.

    Everyone looked around, "What did she mean present?!" Usagi asked. In answer to her question, a group of monsters appeared in front of Usagi. She quickly huddled beside Mamoru. "Go away!! Leave me alone!!" She shouted to the creatures. The monsters spread out towards the other girls as well.

    Brooklyn and the other gargoyles watched the scene unfold before them, then their attention went to Haruka, Michiru, Setsuna, and Chibi-Usa

    "Uranus, Crystal Power... MAKE UP!!" Haruka shouted.

    "Neptune, Crystal Power... MAKE UP!!" Michiru shouted.

    "Pluto, Crystal Power... MAKE UP!!" Setsuna shouted.

    "Moon Crisis Power... MAKE UP!!" Chibi-Usa shouted. Once again, Brooklyn saw the light pour forth from his new-found friends.

    When the light finally faded, all nine girls stood in uniform, ready for battle. Each picked a creature... as did the Gargoyles.

    Sailor Neptune nodded towards Broadway, and he attacked her monster from behind, distracting it. Then Neptune used her attack. "Deep Submerge!" She shouted, and a ball of green/blue energy flew towards her monster. The youma quickly disintegrated.

     Lexington distracted Sailor Uranus' monster, allowing her to get her attack in. "World Shaking!" Uranus shouted, and an orange ball of energy hit her creature. The monster began to shake with the ground beneath it. Soon Uranus' creature was disposed of as well. She looked at Lexington, "Thanks.. but I could have taken care of it on my own!"

    "Well... you're welcome!" Lexington sneered at Uranus.

    Sailor Pluto turned to the creature in front of her. Angela assisted Pluto and distracted her youma. "Dead Scream!" Pluto whispered . A ball of red energy covered the top of the key-staff  she held and headed towards the monster. The creature shattered like glass.

   Yet another monster headed towards Chibi-Moon. A smaller version of Sailor Moon's rod magically appeared in the pink-haired girl's hand and a wave of pink energy flew from the rod towards the creature. Unfortunately, it did nothing more then annoy it.

    Chibi-Moon looked at her rod, "Uh-oh..." she said. The monster began to chase after her, and she screeched as she ran away.

    "This kid is almost as loud as Usagi!" Brooklyn thought, but quickly came to the little girl's aid. A few quick punches knocked the youma out cold. "You ok, kid?" Brooklyn asked a shaken Chibi-Moon.

    Chibi-Moon nodded, then looked towards the creature again, "It's getting back up!!" She shouted. Brooklyn turned around in time to see rose fly towards the creature. It was stunned briefly. Brooklyn looked to where the rose had come from.

    "Attacking children is a no no, youma!" A man with a tuxedo, cape, top hat, and mask stood on the roof of a nearby building.

    Suddenly, a handful of roses flew towards the monster, courtesy of Tuxedo Mask, and the creature fell to the ground.  An attack from  Uranus and Neptune quickly disposed of it.

        "Tuxedo Mask!" Sailor Moon shouted, "Behind you!"

    The well-dressed man spun around in enough time to see a monster appear behind him. A small, black stick appeared in his hands and stretched to full length. Then the man proceeded to fight one on one with the monster. Sailor Moon watched with concern.

    "Hey… dumpling head!!" Sailor Mars shouted, "Stop staring at your boyfriend and help me!!"

    Sailor Moon turned towards Sailor Mars, and saw that she was trying to hold off two monsters at once. Sailor Moon nodded, and once again her rod appeared in her hands. A spiral energy hit one of the monsters, turning it to dust and giving Mars enough time to attack the other one.

    Balls of fire surrounded the monster, and it turned to ash.

    Two more creatures appeared. Hudson and Jupiter took out one of them.  The second creature headed towards Sailor Venus, and Elisa pulled out her gun and shot at it. It didn't do much damage, but it allowed Sailor Venus to attack and destroy it.

    The last creature was quickly disposed of by Goliath and Sailor Mercury.

    Sailor Moon looked up at the roof and saw that Tuxedo Mask was safe. He quickly jumped down beside her.

        "Well.. that was quite a work-out!" Broadway said. They all nodded in agreement.

    "Thank you for your help," Sailor Moon said. "We really appreciate it."

    "It was our pleasure," Goliath replied. "Perhaps we should go see your friend now. Hotaru is it? Is she.. one of you??" He asked.

    "Hotaru is Sailor Saturn," Sailor Moon explained. "She's very powerful. We could have used her help."

    "Hmmm... so your enemy made sure to put her out of commission then..." Goliath said.

    Sailor Mars nodded. 

    Uranus furrowed her brow, "Do you think the Dark Queen knew Hotaru was almost as powerful as Sailor Moon?" She asked.

    Mercury nodded, "It would make sense. The Dark Queen wouldn't have been able to attack Sailor Moon... so she attacked the second most powerful -  Hotaru. "

    Sailor Pluto nodded, "But... does she know that Hotaru can heal herself?"

    "I don't think so..." Mercury began, "But if she finds out---" she didn't finish the sentence.
 
    The soldiers quietly realized they had to protect Hotaru as well. If the Dark Queen ever found out Hotaru could heal, she would do more then just injure her.
