Hexadecimal is one of Mainframe's viruses. She is a chaotic virus, and often causes destruction in the name of fun. Although a Guardian is a virus's sworn enemy, Hex has always been very fond of Bob.
After being downgraded to a sprite - a change Hex seemed to enjoy - Hexadecimal made herself viral once again in an effort to undo the damage Daemon's infection caused. Her final self-less act managed to save Mainframe and the entire known net.
