Brachiopods

Brachiopods are aquatic animals that look like clams. Brachiopods antonomy is very different then that of a clam. They are also not related to mullusks. Although they seem rare they are fairly common. However, their habitat is in very cold water. they are found near the poles or deep under to oceans surface.They there for are not often encountered. There are about 300 living species of brachiopods liveing today.
