Octopoda
They eat lobsters, clams and, other shell fish.  The largest octopus is the Giant octopus. It is 75 ft, and it weighs 110 lbs. The smallest octopus is the Blue Ringed octopus. It is 1.5-3 inches long.  Every octopus lives alone.  An octopus can change color in a flash.  An octopus can give off an ink black liquid. The common octopus lays thousands of eggs, perhaps 200,000. A female octopus mates when she is one to two years old. The eggs take four to  six weeks or more to hatch. The newly hatched young are tiny , no bigger than fleas. They can change color and give off ink, but they can not jet , crawl , or hide in dens. When the eggs hatch , the female's job is done and she dies.
