Even those who do not know El Físico Nuclear as a philosopher, as a hero of pulp fiction from the '40s, or as the architect of some of our greatest archeological artifacts, know of his fame as a luchador--a participant in Mexican wrestling, more commonly known as "lucha libre". He began his career as a wrestler on April 30, 1961, in Gorman, CA, and has since gone on to meet and beat nearly every famous wrestler on the planet. Nine times winner of the Van Allen Belt, the most coveted title in wrestling, he only gets better and better with each passing year. No one has wrestled longer, against more wrestlers simultaneously, leapt higher, won a match further beneath the sea, or higher atop a mountain, than has El Físico Nuclear. He has brought new energy and blood into the world of wrestling, taking his inspiration from Mexican style lucha libre and Aztec wrestling. His beaten opponents are countless, and his fans approach infinity. Here, then, are some web pages which make reference to his contributions in this sport.

Quizro's Fantastic World of El Físico Nuclear features mountains of material on the the World's Greatest Luchador, including "El FAQ Nuclear", which can answer just about any question you might have about the Man in the Psychic Mask, and the latest reports on The Physicist's exploits in the squared circle.

Just as El Físico Nuclear joined up with a group of studio musicians to form El Físico Nuclear and the New, Improved!, as a response to the chaos promulgated by The Incredible String Band, so too does this archive exist in part to refute the web site run by one of the many faces of Vandal Drummond: in this case, in his incarnation as Baby Bitch Drummond. The less said about this rumble from Jericho, this snake charmer, this guava farmer, the better, but in the purpose of fairness and thoroughness we have decided to include a link to this page without a title dedicated to dis-seminating dis-information regarding the dis-located Minister of Mephistopheles, Johnny Legend and his Incredibly Strange Wrestling, an insane psycho-circus of which Vandal is a recent escapee, and frequent returnee. Mr. Drummond can be translated thus: consider everything he says to be half-true, take out the falsehood, and consider the rest to be wholly reliable. Do not listen to him, however, when he says that you have lovely snowshoes, or that that the tiger wants to be held--it doesn't. Do contact Vandal (if only to BOO him) at lygerATaol.com

The idea that La Parka is in fact El Físico Nuclear without his skin is an matter of long standing. The earliest known version of this is found in Plato's The Symposium:

Socrates: Consider the possibility, for example, that La Parka is in fact merely El Físico Nuclear without his exoskeleton.
Cratylus: Such is impossible. La Parka is clearly a human skeleton, and yet El Físico Nuclear is not of this earth, and therefore is not truly human.
Socrates: You will admit, however, that his form is humanoid?
Cratylus: Yes, he is humanoid.
Socrates: And you have seen him perform the Muon Missile?
Cratylus: Of course.
Socrates: And you will admit that such a topé is not possible without a rigid internal structure?
Cratylus: I dare say I must agree.
Socrates: And will you not also therefore admit that given El Físico Nuclear's humanoid form, that any internal structure must also resemble a human skeleton?
Cratylus: I will admit that such is the case.
Socrates: Tell me also whether or not you agree that La Parka does indeed resemble a human skeleton.
Cratylus: I must admit that this is true.
Socrates: You see then that there exists the possibility of a correlation between La Parka and the internal structure of El Físico Nuclear.
Cratylus: Alas, I confess that such a possibility does indeed exist.
Socrates: Will you also admit that we cannot possibly know all of the ways of El Físico Nuclear, that he is ever an enigma, a mystery as great as the universe itself?
Cratylus: Such is his nature.
Socrates: Do you not also agree that anything which is declared to be true about El Físico Nuclear can also be discovered to be false?
Cratylus: Such you have already shown to be true, Socrates.
Socrates: And have a I not also demonstrated that the flesh of El Físico Nuclear is merely a covering, with a life of its own, but not inherently a part of him?
Cratylus: I must agree with you on this.
Socrates: Therefore tell me now if you still believe that La Parka cannot be the form taken by El Físico Nuclear when he removes his skin?
Cratylus: I confess that you are the wiser man, Socrates.

Bearing this conclusion in mind, it is the duty of every one of the Nucleares to discover for him or herself The Church of La Parka. Even if La Parka and El Físico Nuclear are not one and the same, in some essential sense, their fans are identical.

There is evidently a fascination among many folk with the true identity of masked wrestlers. No one has ever seen El Físico Nuclear without his mask, of course, but here is a webpage which allegedly provides the true identity of certain masked wrestlers. It claims to reveal the identity of two men who wrestle as El Físico Nuclear.
