A favorite phrase of El Físico Nuclear is "A sound mind in a sound body". As such, he pursues sports which demand both physical fitness and mental awareness.
One such a sport is lucha libre. That lucha libre requires this balance of mental and physical ability is also evident in a (fictional) interview with a (fictional?) wrestler named El Físico Nuclear--who takes his name, of course, from the real El Físico Nuclear.
The mystery of crop circles was solved long ago by investigators into the El Físico Nuclear paradigm, but a conspiracy apparently manages to cover it up (it is to be noted that if El Físico Nuclear wanted the truth to be revealed, he would have made certain that it was. There must be, therefore, a reason for his silence on these matters). Crop circles are merely the miniature golf courses of El Físico Nuclear! 
Here is an unretouched photograph of a crop circle, which was later published on teh web in an altered form, falsified to "prove" the theory that crop circles are evidence of visits by extraterrestrials. He loves miniature golf because of the vigorous exercise it offers, and because it allows him to perform physics experiments, especially with gravity wells and non-Euclidean spaces. Any time he happens to be in England (usually to discuss physics with Professor Stephen Hawking, or to put in an appearance as the Purple Ghost of Glamagashire) he stops off in the south of England and plays a few rounds of miniature golf in the beautiful wheat fields there...
