VII.VIII.MMIV.
IX moths ago, El Gringo were back. Now, IX months on, El GRINGO ARE BACK! You might notice that the original return was somewhat low key, as we didn't actually return. Really. Since that time, El Gringo have completed work on their second full-length album, entiled "Snakes and Ladders", an album about Love, Wheat and Gays. It takes IX months for a human baby to develop, and, it seems, this is the amount of time it takes El Gringo's "babies" (I.E. the albums) to develop. Some might say that Handsoftheinevitable was a premature ejaculatory stain upon the tablecloth of people's ears, but Snakes and Ladders is a lot deeper. Here you will find seemingly endless hits about Friendship, Farming and Fannies. This album is available from Banana Records UK, and their Luxembourg branch "Les Disques aux Bananes"

XX-X-MMIII: RETURN OF THE RATS
Well, well, well! It seems el gringo are back! we are currently progressing with the new album (bearing the working title of "Snakes and Ladders"), and have been very busy at banana studios cranking out new hit after new hit. it's great not being held back in our approach by ex-el humphries, and being back to a duo is a dream come true. more updates soon!

III-X-MMIII: RELEASE OF THE INEVITABLE
well it's been a while but you'll be glad to know that Handsoftheinevitable, el gringo's wonderful debut album packed with hit after hit is now available through those loverley people at banana records. yes, despite the loss of el humphries, we endeavoured to complete the album, even finding the time to include a touching and heartfelt tribute to our fallen friend entitled V.VI.MMIII. in other news, you'll be interested to know that work has begun on our as yet untitled second album, and we've also been in touch with mysterious dan concering the split cd. we have no idea when that will be ready however. but for now, why not get in touch and get your grubby paws on a copy of Handsoftheinevitable? we guarantee you won't regret it.*

V-VI-MMIII
STOP THE PRESS!!! EL HUMPHRIES WALKS!!! Yes, the news is unfortunately true, El Humphries has quit El Gringo. This comes as a major blow to the group with the release of the band's debut album 'Handsoftheinevitbale' just over the horizon. It remains to be seen what founding members El Maughan and El Moon will do now.

XX-IV-MMIII: THE LATEST
things have been somewhat slow in the last couple of months although we do have some worthwhile news. the album is coming along nicely, there's still some parts that need to be done but by and large it's sounding pretty good. we've also agreed to work on a split cd with mysterious dan, and we'll be recording a song for a compilation album but we can't talk too much about that just yet. the split should be pretty cool though, along with some original tracks from both artists, we'll also be covering a mysterious dan song (possibly 'intro') and dan will be doing his own version of 'sorry falls short'. sleek.

XXI-II-MMIII: UPDATES FOR ALL
we've been in the studio recently recording several new songs for handsoftheinevitable, including a remastered version of the rock anthem "night train to dover" and new songs "loner", "mucky mucky monsters" and the best gringo song since 'train', "see you me mr jazzman", which is amazing quite frankly. also, as regards the site, there is now a guestbook where one can post stuff, so do so. anyway, we'll update you in a bit with the estimated launch period and news on more songs. for now, take a skeg at the songs page where there are now fourteen songs...

XXI-XII-MMII: WORD UP ALL! IT'S EL GRINGO!
