Thesis Statment

Main Page William Shakespeare, in his sonnet 129, awakens the powerful feeling and emotions of lust.  He describes and examines the misery lust causes a person.  Through Shakespeare's use of figurative language, tone, reflective structure, and extended metaphor, he is able to show the reader the shame, guilt, and pleasure of one's lust.
