THE CATSUIT PROBLEM

This is pretty much guaranteed to be rendered irrelevant by canon, but it's a Unimatrix 0 coda.  The idea was suggested by Nequam, whose site is well worth a look.

Doc was a dead hologram.

They had believed him when he said that Seven's tighter-than-tight suit was for medical purposes.  It was *probably* true.  He  wasn't programmed to ogle.

"It's not for long," he had said.  "Just until their cells are fully recovered."

From some perspectives – Chakotay had to admit that the view was pretty good from *any* angle – it was perfectly reasonable.

From other perspectives – such minor matters as efficiency and protocol – it was unacceptable.

Uniforms were a good idea, Chakotay decided. He glanced over at Janeway, and then glanced away.

Catsuits were just not *right* for starship captains.

(Look, ma!  No naked Talaxians!)
