  16. Fully Interactive

The live 2-CD set captures material from both the Welcome Back Tour in 1974 and Works Tour in 1977. There is also an interactive PC program that has some kickin' videos of live performances and interviews. Good stuff. The first part of the CD was recorded in 1977 at the Coliseum Wheeling, WV. Much of it is the same songs as on Works Live, but there are a few noticable differences. The second part was from 1974 at the Civic Center in Tulsa, OK. Some of the same stuff as on Welcome Back My Friends, but different time and a different place.
What I like about this album is that it shows the musicianship of these three guys. I am almost positive that this version of "Karn Evil 9" is not the same one as on Welcome Back, but there are very, very, very close. I am just amazed that they can play that 30-minute epic almost identically during two different concerts. And that drum solo just amazes the crap out of me. The rest of the album is good, too. This retrospective album really captures the band in their prime. Just amazing.
