OUR TIME AT THE SPEKE CAMP, BUJAGALI FALLS
After paying our USh2000 to get onto the camp, we wandered off with our new-found German friend down to the banks of the River Nile. The water is absolutely clear and freezing cold. Nice after a 4km walk through dust and heat. My feet looked like red leather through all the dust that caked them. I needed to wash it all off, so we headed down to the Nile.

The beautiful Bujagali Falls. To think in a couple of years, all this beauty will be gone thanks to the building of a dam downstream. Makes me really sad.
After seeing this, we decided that we were staying in the wrong place, so we headed back to the Nile Resort via the local looney driving a car with 7 people in it, made our excuses and left. We couldn't wait to get back to our idyll by the world's longest river. It was hard to believe that this river wound up over 4000 miles away in the Mediterranean Sea after passing through about 8 countries, passing through the cradle of the Egyptian civilisation. Makes you think.
