English Language Teaching (ELT)

English Language Teaching is one of the majors that the Department of Curriculum and Instruction focuses on. The department offers a very comprehensive program for training English language teachers. During their undergraduate studies, students take several courses and practical workshops in the department which fosters their English methodology mentality. These courses range from English Methodology which include microteaching, to Teaching practice that gives the student-teacher some hands-on experience on teaching the language at the surrounding area's public schools. Moreover the program encompasses some other fundamental courses such as instructional objectives, School Curriculum, Teaching Skills, Instructional Concepts, and some others. It is assumed that such courses open some kind of pedagogical horizons for our students to know, understand, and implement what they believe will suite them in their future profession.
