Chapter 6: Finally Free
Phoebe struggled to release herself from the strong grip that was constricting her airway, but with every effort, Allanna’s grip got tighter. She could feel the blood rushing to her head. She felt dizzy. She needed air. Blackness began closing in on her. Any second now Phoebe would loose consciousness.
"Help!" Pheobe gave a choked whisper. Where were her sisters?
"Rock!"
Through the corner of her eyes, Phoebe saw the bluish glowing lights of an orb and seconds later saw something hurtling towards her. She shut her eyes, preparing to be hit, but she never was. Instead, Alanna’s clutch loosened and Phoebe collapsed to the ground, gasping for air. The rock that had been thrown was frozen mid-flight.
Phoebe looked up. Prue was slumped on the ground, unconscious. Blood dripping from a gash just above her left temple. Piper, although awake, looked pretty beaten up, too. Both sisters, though Prue more so, needed healing. Where was Leo?

Leo paced the length of the Manor’s conservatory. The growing sense of unease was strong. Why was he sent to the future as well? The sisters were brought here so that they could vanquish Coganta, but what was his purpose in this time?
"Dad? Are you alright?"
Leo looked up into Melinda’s brown eyes. Worry etched into her every feature. How was he to explain the situation to her? Using his Whitelighter senses again, he tried to trace the sisters, but he couldn’t feel them. That could mean one of three things. One, they were in another astral plane. Two, they were in the underworld. Or three...they were dead!

"Keep them busy!" Paige yelled at Piper and Phoebe as she dodged a flame throw and rushed back over to Prue. She held a hand over her forehead and the gash didn’t close up. She wasn’t a pure Whitelighter and had never mastered her healing power. It was no use. She needed Leo! "Hold on!"
In an array of blue lights, Paige orbed back to the Manor. "Leo!?!"
It was Melinda, who answered her first.
"Paige? What’s wrong? Where’s mom?"
Leo followed. He had never seen the woman before that now stood in the living room, covered head to foot in bruises and burns. Seeing Leo she rushed over and grabbed his arm.
"There's no time to explain!"
She orbed him back down to Prue, dodging another flame throw, once she and Leo materialized.
"You need to heal her Leo, I can’t do it!"
Without second thought, Leo held his hand over Prue and warming light surrounded her body. Prue gave a startled inhale and looked up at Leo, then over at the battle scene.
"Thanks!" She muttered and jumped up to join her sisters. Once the four of them were together they began reciting the incantation Allanna had given them before she’d disappeared.
MAY YOUR FIRES BE PUT OUT
YOUR POWERS MAY YOU BE WITHOUT
WE VANQUISH YOU FROM TIME AND SPACE
WITH THESE WORDS YOUR NOW ERASED
WITH THE POWER OF THREE PLUS ONE
MAY YOUR EVIL DEEDS BE UNDONE
With the incantation read, Paige smashed the potion vile at Coganta’s feet and the cave was filled with his screams. Smoke and flame burst out from the floor and Coganta fell, withering and screaming. Then with a giant burst of flame, he was gone. Allanna collapsed to her hands and knees.
She looked up at the four Halliwell’s, and at Leo, her eyes no longer glowing red. She was that frightened young girl that Phoebe had seen in her promotions and the one that had brought Prue, Piper, Phoebe, and Leo to this time. A smile spread across her face.
"Thank you!" Her voice was choked and her whole body was trembling visibly under her long black cloak. "By vanquishing Coganta, you have destroyed the evil inside of me. I am finally free!"
Then, with Allanna's last words, she disappeared in a wisp of smoke. Leaving her cloak a heap on the ground. The words, "I am finally free!" echoed again through the cave and Prue, Piper, Phoebe, and Leo, somehow found themselves back in the living room of the Manor. Back in their own time.
