Emerging Courageous
Thanks To Emerging Courageous

The following are Letters Written to the Editor regarding
Emerging Courageous online Magazine
Marilyn Dixon Pfanstiel, Editor

* "Keep on doing it your way my friend and you will never go wrong.  I often used to get upset at criticism of my own writings then I read something Leo Buscaglia wrote. "I could be the greatest, most delicious apple in the world, but some people don't like apples and will insist I be a banana."  Always be your apple and not someone else's banana. Thank you too for including so much of my writings and messages in your glorious newsletter.  You are helping me share them with the world.  Wishing you every joy, " Joe Mazzella

* "I think the word awesome would cover your site.  Beautiful, beautiful. " Christine Smith

* "Keep on shining that light of yours and let no one dim it or blow it out.  A great poet once said that he didn't want his life to be a brief candle that quickly faded to darkness, but rather a blazing torch that he could pass on to future generations. That is what your work and your life is doing.  Wishing you every joy." Joe Mazzella

* "Thank you for letting me know my story was up and running. Looks like I'm in good company. I recognize many names and know some of the authors. It is a pleasure to share my story. I hope it touches someone. If reading it gives even one person hope and a new outlook, I am honored."  Kathy Anne Harris

* "I am honored and delighted to be included in something so beautiful as what you share with the world.  You really are touching hearts and souls with your site.  Keep up the fantastic work.  God bless you always.  Wishing you every joy," Joe Mazzella

* "Thank you so much my friend (for sharing my story on your site).  I know that you will be one who will always live every second that you are given to the fullest. Keep on inspiring the world.  It needs you.  God bless you always.  Wishing you every joy," Joe Mazzella

* "Marilyn, you really have emerged courageous! A whole new world has opened up for you, hasn't it? I don't think I have the courage to do what you have done. Maybe when all of my boys are independent, I will find that courage to make a big leap into a new direction. Good luck to you in all you do."  Love, Gayle

* "I am honored and delighted to be included in something so beautiful as what you share with the world.  You really are touching hearts and souls with your site.  Keep up the fantastic work.  God bless you always.  Wishing you every joy, " Joe Mazzella

* "What an inspiring site you have!!!"  Lisa Hammond

* "Thank you so much for including my article in your wonderful publication.  I read the other stories and was amazed at the wonderful stories they tell.  I especially loved the one by Ellie Braun-Haley.  I have been a fan of her work for a while now.  Keep up the fantastic work and let me know of any other ways I can help you.  Wishing you every joy, " Joe Mazzella

* "You have a great website!  I loved snooping through it!" Yvonne

* "I have so much respect for what Marilyn does with her online mag.  She is a remarkable woman. " Barbie Ann Conrad

* "This is absolutely wonderful news!!!!  I would like to share that you have given me the idea for a series of works in pottery that I have begun......There is a story that I have to write about my finding myself while taking a pottery class and how I have Courageously Emerged!!!!  Thank you my dear sweet friend!!"  Cheri Lee Funk

* "Thank you Marilyn for sharing the poetry God so led me to write.   I admire your consistency and dedication in all that you have done and continue you to do.  May God continue to richly bless you and all that you do. In His Grip,"  Brian Jett

* "What a terrific way to offer inspiration and hope, to those of us who live with pain. Thank you." Shari Lyne

* "Marilyn, Sounds like you are having a blast! Congratulations on your book, I'm excited for you. Your website is very inspiring. I enjoyed the variety of info., really nice. I receive a daily email of an inspiring quote from www.unstoppable.com. Cynthia Kersey wrote a book called Unstoppable that you might enjoy if you haven't already checked it out. It has the same inspiring feeling as your website. "Linda Nightenhelser

* "Very nice. Very encouraging. Thanks for putting it out there on the web."  Francie

*" I finally made it your site for a longer stay. Great place you got there. Some of the stories I can see myself in. Made me feel not so alone out here, Thanks!!" Mary Blume

*" I truly believe that God put you and He put me on this Earth to reach out and touch hurting souls. We can not heal their broken bodies nor heal their shattered spirits, but we can send them love and encouragement along with heart felt prayers. "Donna Hickey

* "Thank you so much for adding the quotes on your site.  My prayer is that anything that I've been nudged to write will possibly nudge someone into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.  God has gifted you very much so, and you are using them and I suspect He'll take you to another level very soon.  Let's keep one another in prayer.  To much who has been given, much is required.  (Luke 12:48)  Keep driving on, and I shall do the same my friend. " Peace, Brian G. Jett

* "Thank you for giving of yourself like you do.  It is very much appreciated! Continue to emerge Courageous!!!
Press on! Brian Jett

* "I have enjoyed my visit to your site, your work is wonderful. " ((((HUGS)))) Karen/ Lady KSS

* "Just a thank you for having an outlet that those struggling on a daily basis both emotionally and physically can turn to get through another day. " Andrea Glauberman

*"Thank you so much for your time and sharing my poems with your readers of the wonderful magazine you are putting out. I will surely pass the word to others  as I have opportunity too. Hugs and keep on writing...you are a real treasure God has opened  for us to share your wealth of talents. Hugs and God bless and keep you and all you love today and always with HIS angels all round all. "  Leona Ebling
P.S. "So blessed to have you for a friend and editor. Praise God for you and for your labors sharing with us. I am always honored to have my writings in your magazine. Thank you." Leona

*"God bless you in your work for Him. " Ronnie Leviner

* re "My best Christmas gift on my worst Christmas ever" that appeared in New Stories Jan 15, 2004.
"Wow I am shocked!! I was amazed when you sent it out the first time and now adding it to your magazine. I am not a writer (although my mother always wanted to be one and I used to write poetry when I was young). Thanks so much. I will pass this on. I never told anyone about
my "story" before so I am sure many of them will be surprised." Diane Bookwalter

*Thank you for  your time and sharing  the poems by me and all the other wonderful stories and poetry   I enjoy your readings so  very much.  HUGS  Leona Ebling

*You are a wonderful woman with so much to offer so many others out there. Sheila McGary

*Dear Ma'am Marilyn, Shalom! Thank you also for giving me an opportunity to share a story...It is highly appreciated and it is my pleasure...May our good Lord continually bless you, your family, and your ministry as you faithfully serve our Lord in every way that you can. Sister in Christ, Sally Laylo

While surfing the net one day, I came across a link that took me to
Emerging Courageous Online Magazine
After visiting for a while I wrote to tell Marilyn
What a wonderful place she had created
For those of us who have risen above challenges in our lives
It wasn't long before Marilyn asked me to share
Some of my writings and poems there.

There are many people in the world who are Survivors!
What makes a Survivor?
I believe it is anyone who strives to overcome
Not only emotional but physical hardships
After all you only have two choices
The first is to give up and the second is to fight!

I know through my own life how easy it is to quit
But with the help of good friends
And a strong desire to be a better me each day
I have struggled through many hills and valleys
I think I have even mastered a few mountains.

A good friend once told me
You can ride a wagon of "Woe is Me"
Or you can get up everyday and simply live life
It was the best piece of advice anyone had ever given me!

After going back to Emerging Courageous many times
And reading the successes of many others
I know that I am not alone in how things have made me feel
And I know I am not alone in my desire to be a better me
So everyday I get up and look for challenges
Whether it be on my computer or in dealing with my own chronic pain
Everyday I find ways to help someone else
Nothing makes my heart happier and my soul soar even higher.

This is a list of the things Marilyn has shared of mine
With other members and readers of her online magazine.

*Emerging Courageous is making the most out of the difficulties in our lives...Some People start out in life with good looks, money, education, health, friends, family and good parents. But some of us have some of only one or two of these things. But the message that I take away with me after reading" Emerging Courageous" is that each and every person on earth at one time will face a situation in our life that we need to overcome. It could be the lost of a friend, the death of a parent, an addiction, an affliction, an emotion or as little as a bad day. But, we have one thing in common…The thing that everyone in “Emerging Courageous” has in common… that they have faced their problems.

I ask myself, how can I be the same person after reading all these stories? I can't. And thank you for letting me know me know that I am not in my thoughts alone. And I want to thank Marilyn for having found the strength and courage to bring us all together in a wonderful site. She has emerged!!! Mary Jean Fink

*Every since I found your site, I say to myself all the time....
