A summary (with commentaries!) of the classes I had today:

Art History - new prof., Dr. SomethingGerman, who had a delightful little accent and a way of coming to a short stop between each word. "On. Your right. We have. A painting. By. Jan. Vermeer. Note. The exquisite. Detailing." His speech kept me entertained nearly the whole class! And we seem to be doing something interesting this section! That's two firsts for Art History!

Film - new prof. as well. A woman. I don't know why I feel the need to point that out, but I do. She seems really nice. And smart. Nice and smart. We're looking at melodrama, though, which is neither nice nor smart, but rather of the uncomfortable-to-watch and funny-to-mock variety. The movie we watched tonight (for we watch a movie every Monday and Tuesday night) was, as she put it, "campy". It was really, really sad. In the funny-sad way. I'm going to stop explaining now.

English - same prof., new book. Well, new volume of old book. We're starting on modern literature, which is such a relief for me. No more funny archane words! No more german roots! No more epic poetry! Oh, wait, we still have to do Ulysses. Blast.

And that's that. When I didn't have class, I was either on the computer, trying to use Photoshop, or on my bed fast asleep. Yes, the second day here, and I've already taken my napping habit back up. Things are not looking good for a conscious future. No siree.

I suppose I should read my History now. Even though I probably won't speak in class. I never intended to follow through with that resolution anyway.
