Yay! I just got a call from the computer shop, and they said that my iBook's all ready to be picked up. Splendid! I'll have to get it tomorrow, though, because I don't have time to get it, return the rental, and have dinner before I have to go out tonight. But hey! Yay!
That's actually just what I needed today. This has been the suckiest of sucky days. First, I woke up to a freezing room and decided not to get up to do my English readings. I showered before meeting Chel for breakfast (that was nice), the had Art History (which was also nice, but I just now realized I only have one more week of it), then came back to res to finish my Film readings. When to Philosophy with Chel, then Film tutorial, where I had to talk about one of the readings and Geoff mocked me in front of the whole class for insinuating that we lived in a dictatorship (I'll get you back someday, Geoffrey Raymond Dudgeon! Possibly by referring to you as 'Geoffrey Raymond Dudgeon' for the rest of your natural life... Hmm...). Then I went to English and had to leave ten minutes from the end of class because I couldn't stop coughing. I swear, I can't even breathe without hurting myself nowadays. This fucking sucks, man. Then I went to meet Chel at the CoGro so we could buy tickets to see a play tonight, but she was late and then left early. I bought the tickets on my own, walked to ResExpress in the rain, bought milk, then walked to McNeill and got a Snickers because I felt crappy. And I looked crappy. Rain makes my hair curl the the most unattractive ways. So I went up to my room, put on the kettle, went to the washroom and soaked my hair then dried it in my room (got to look pretty, don'tcha know). I drank some tea, downed two Tylenol, and ate my Snickers bar. And I read my mail, which I've been thinking about since I got it this morning. (Wasn't it good, Jessa? Oooo!)
It seems to me that I've been hanging around Chelsea an awful lot lately. It's been riotous fun, but it does seem like she and her friends are the only people I've talked to since reading week. How odd... Anyway, that was just a little thought I threw out there so that I could tell you all about my coffee date with Chel and Tali last night without sounding bizzarre (well, that's what I was going for, anyway...) So yes, we went to coffee at the CoGro (Common Ground) last night at 10, and man, I totally love those girls. So much fun. We talked about stupid boys, and stupid girls, and classes, and drunken nights, and stuff. And it was super. I burned my tongue on my English Breakfast tea, though, so that was no good. And Chel and I got some really weird tasting brownies with peanut butter in them. But the conversation and the company was good, and there weren't too many people there, so when our discussions got a bit inappropriate, it's not like many people heard them (and if they did, I bet they didn't care). The crappy thing was, though, that we stayed there until 11:40, and I still had to read my Noam Chomsky article. So we walked back, and I started working, but then gave up and watched A Hard Day's Night. Which is the best movie ever. And I am going to watch it again, just as soon as I finish writing this. Chel says she's never seen it, though, which I think is an absolute sin. I'm totally going to buy it next year, then have her and Tali over for a Beatles Night; A Hard Day's Night, Help!, Yellow Submarine, pasta, and a whole lot of alcohol.
Gear.
