My weekend sucked, if you care.

Friday night, I took Meg to see About A Boy, which was the high point of the next three days. It was wonderful, beautiful, cute but not sweet, funny but not ridiculous, and the soundtrack ruled. So I bought it right after we got out of the theatre. Then we went home and I watched Four Weddings and a Funeral in an attempt to keep the happiness a little longer.

Saturday, I was supposed to go to Kensington with Ni and Tad, but none of us called each other so I assume we had mutually agreed to cancel. Instead, I did laundry, took a long shower and went to the mall with my mum in search of clothes for her. That was a drag and a half. I swear, grownup clothes are so boring. I hope I never have to wear them. Then I went home, grumped about because no one told me about the group trek to see The Importance Of Being Earnest until ten minutes before the show started, and tried to watch Waking Ned Divine with my family. But I eventually gave up and went to Lara's "party" instead, which consisted of five people besides me and Lar. We watched Spy Game, which confused me. Then I went home and slept.

Sunday, I went to the library with my dad. In the afternoon, my whole family went to my cousin's place for my aunt and uncle's 40th anniversary. Which, too, was boring. Meg and I bailed on that after a few hours, saying that she had homework to finish. Yeah, I lied to my family. I don't feel bad about it, though. Maybe I should, but I don't. I'd do it again, if I had to.

So all in all, I had a shit weekend. I worked all week in anticipation of some sort of fun, and all I get is a big disappointment. But, next weekend (or possibly, tomorrow), I will call Jessa and make her come see The Importance of Being Earnest with me, and maybe get Ni and Lar to go to Kensington or Queen Street with me. I haven't been there since Christmas, and I can't stand it any longer.
