Last week, I decided (against my better judgement, and because I was really bored) to watch Queer As Folk. Now, I had read previous synopses of episodes, and knew very well what kind of a pron-as-art show it was. Nevertheless, I watched a few minutes of it. And lo and behold, I know someone on the cast of Queer As Folk. No joke, I do. Well, okay, not personally. He works at my dad's lawfirm. My dad calls him a virtual lawyer, because he does work for them, he sends them clients and does all the requisite wlawyerly work, he just never comes into the office or even have a desk. He does a lot of commercial work, both commercial law and of the television variety. You may recognize him as the spokesman for GroceryGateway.com (he's not on the website, though, so I can't provide any pictures or real "proof"). Anyway, he the episode I watched was about some sort of bet Debbie (one of the gay boys' mothers) made with a bunch of streight policemen. The boys had to participate in a bowling competition against said police officers to prove that gays could (I assume) bowl as well as streight people. And the guy that I kind of know, the virtual lawyer, was one of the policemen. He was the one with the curly black hair, if you watched. So yeah, there you go. I watched again last night to see if he was maybe on again, but he wasn't. Ah well.

So today, I woke up at 9 to a call from Jessa. I was still confused and half asleep, so I asked if I could call her back in a half hour. Fourty-five minutes later, I call her back and we decide that she is to come to my house at 12:30 so we can go see The Bourne Identity. So I busy myself about the house until then, cleaning the kitchen, the living room, the dining room and my room, half because I'm still trying to convince Jess that my family aren't slobs. and half because there's simply nothing else to do. So Jess shows up, I brush my teeth, and we go to the theatre. On the way there, in the car, she asks me what's wrong. I tell her that I'm feeling off. Off how, she asks. Oh, how do I explain that? I settle for "off, mentally, I think", because I'm driving, and can't do any heavy thinking, as that would lead to blackouts and possible car accidents. Anyway, we get there, we get our candy and we watch our movie. I was really surprised by how good it was. I generally loathe Matt Damon as an actor. I find him to be emotionless, bland and generally robotic in every possible way. But in this movie, it was a plus. So there you go. I still would rather have seen CQ, though.

Then, Jess and I came back to the house and watched a few episodes of Buffy Season Two and I made a quiche for dinner. I drove her home around 8.

The rest of my evening has been spent here, in front of the computer, because I missed it so. And also because I'm an utter geek.
