ennui \ahn-WEE\ (noun)
: a feeling of weariness and dissatisfaction : boredom
Example sentence:
Reluctant to face the usual tedious round of socializing
at yet another company party, Ms. Edwards could only sigh with
ennui.
God, I'm bored. I'm so bored that simply fixing my modem and seeing that word in my inbox (courtessy of m-w.com) excited me. This is not a sign of a healthy life.
You know what bugs me? People who wear out their welcome. Honestly. I picked Meaghan up from her last exam at 11:00 and we brought one of her friends home too, as her mum was supposed to come picker up at our house at 1:00. Her dad has just come to get her. It is 5:54pm. He is nearly five hours late. That's not just rude, that's inconsiderate and disgusting. I had plans this afternoon. I wanted to go places. Instead, I was left wandering around the two top floors looking for things to clean while I waited for this girl to leave my house. I fucking hate people like that.
Anyway, I still don't have a job. I never got a call back from the restaurant I applied at, so I'm thinking that's a no. All in all, the time I spent away from my computer has been utterly wasted. I just thought I'd keep you up to date, though. Maybe I'll have news tomorrow. Most likely not, though. Meh.
