Five essays in seven days: does this seem possible to you?

That's what I'm trying to do, anyway. Today, I aim to finish two of them, so the pressure should be off at about 8 tomorrow morning.

Now prepare yourself. I'm about to say something that I have never in my life said before. Ready? My room... is hot! So hot. So warm and toasty, so nice and heated. My room is the only one in the house that doesn't have an air vent, plus my window lets air through (don't ask me how, it's complicated). Add that to the fact that I'm naturally colder than most people, and you can see how I've been constantly freezing all year long. But, two days ago, Vanessa stole Marta's space heater for me after I'd been shivering and complaining and wearing three sweaters on top of each other. So now I have a space heater in my room, and besides the dry-air-bleeding-nose side effect, it's absolutely heavenly. I love toasty warm winter heat.

That's why I'm listening to Sweet Home Alabama. Home + hot place + sweeeeeet = exactly my situation. Also, I downloaded three versions of the song yesterday. I'm a dork. But I love this song so much right now.

I'm also loving this newly found comic, Cat and Girl. It combines mocking of hipsters (the funniest thing ever), references to Belle & Sebastian (though it might also be mocking their fans, but I don't care), a mod style and an angry little girl with cute hair who's always harping on literature and pop culture and drinks tea and wants to go back in time. What more could I want? This is currently my new desktop. I'm in love.

Anyway, back to the essay. If I'm not done by the morning, I authorize the first person who sees me to shoot me right through the heart.
