On Saturday, there was an ice storm in Kingston. Luckily, I wasn't here then, so I didn't have to suffer power outages or anything. I just got to see all the prettiness left over from the storm.

Here's the view from the path in the park:

Hm, okay, you totally can't see the prettiness from that picture. Well, anyway, all the trees were covered in ice, and it was very pretty.

Today, however, it went from pretty to pretty scary. We're experiencing a bit of a thaw here in Kingston, so the ice is starting to melt. And it;s falling off the trees. In big chunks. And in showers. And all thre streets are lined with this tall, tall trees, so the whole walk to campus is one scare after the next. Luckily, I didn't get hit today, but I've jumped more today than I have in weeks.

Tonight I'm off to the KingCanFilmFest, to see Punch with Chel and her friend Ken. Like most film festival movies, it will either be incredibly good, or it will suck beyond the telling of it. We shall see.
