Events Diary

Home

We try to give times for the events, as well as meeting points, what can be had in the way of refreshments and what to bring with you. It would be helpful if any potential attendees would make themselves known before the event using our details in the Branch Newsletter, or via the email address on our Contacts page.  Please include the event contact name & the event & date in the email/subject title line so your communication can be forwarded promptly.

Any events with no date will be confirmed later. If you have any doubt as to your ability to take full advantage of the trip, please contact us before hand. Most day events will have a meet time of 10:15 for 10 30am start: this will be confirmed when you contact the organiser.

Trip Insurance

Each person attending field meetings does so on the understanding that they attend at their own risk. The OUGS has Public Liability Insurance Cover for field and indoor meetings but Personal Accident cover and Personal Liability cover remain the responsibility and personal choice of the participant. There may be an element of appropriate cover included in house insurance or in travel insurance: although the OUGS activities are not particularly dangerous, members are advised to check whether exclusions apply to activities in which they plan to participate in case they wish to arrange further cover. An annual travel insurance may be the best solution for any member who regularly attends field events: this again is a matter of personal choice and members are advised to check exclusions so that they can make an informed decision about the cover they want.
