| When Emperor was 4 months
old: Yes, he is now bigger, tougher, and of course, more wiser. He's so adorable. He's often reacts so overly excited whenever Kimmy and I were
back from work. Barking in extreme excitement, he'll jumps up and down to greet us.
When he's excited, he'd roll over his body for us to give him a good rub and scratchs on his chest and tummy. He just love it! :o)
Learning new
commands:
Apart from perfecting the basic commands which I've taught him on the previous month, he's now learning the "down" and "long-down" commands before
feeding time.
:o) Again, he picked up these new commands very fast. It's just a matter of time and to make it a habit for him to do it the next time.

The"funny" Barking
command:
I've taught him how to bark when I say "bark!". This command was actually unintentionally taught on him. It all started at one evening while I was eating a few biscuits
next to him.
Staring at me with his saliva dripping down like a running pipe water. At that time, I knew he was so hopeful for me to spare him a few biscuits,...and yes, I got him. I insisted him to bark if he wants my biscuits.
The floor was wet with his saliva dripping all over it and he can't hold on to this temptation anymore. I continue in luring him to bark for the biscuits.
I kept on saying..."bark" Emperor "bark" for a few minutes. HURRAH! He did it! He then finally bark once. I quickly rewarded him with one biscuit for his first "bark". He loves the biscuit and hoping for more.
:o) I then continuingly saying the word "bark". Somehow he started to have a clue that I wanted him to bark in order to have a biscuit. He did it again and I
rewards him a second biscuit.
Besides rewarding biscuits, I also praise him with positive words like "okay!" or "good!". Rewarding him with treats and words-of-praise whenever he did it right, making him understood that he has done it correctly.
The "barking" training only took about 10 minutes, but he's remembering this trick forever.
He's a brainy dog.

My Exercising Method for
Emperor:
His favorite retrieving item is the little yellow rubber ball (see
above picture). He likes to chase and retrieves. Sometimes we'd walk him out at night (10pm something) to play "chase-the-ball" in the middle of those quiet roads near our neigborhood. It's a fun way to exercise him.
To play "chase-the-ball", Kimmy and I need to stand away from each other for about 70meters away. As for Emperor, he'll sit next to me. I'll say "GO!
Emperor!", the moment I rolled the ball towards Kimmy,
"GO! Emperor!" (the yellow ball is rolling fast) and he'll start running to chase after the ball that's rolling
towards Kimmy. When the ball reachs Kimmy, she'll roll it back to me and Emperor will have to chase it again.
This would go back and fourth for 3 to 4 times (depending on his stamina), but of course we will not let him down by not giving him the chance to catch it.
On the last "run", we'll intentionally threw the ball in less speed, so that he can grab the ball and retrieves it back to me. He's not stupid; in returns, he's
making us look stupid, because if he gets tired, he'll stay down and let both of us look stupidly throwing the ball around in the middle of the night as people who were happened to be passing by certainly doesn't have a clue that we're throwing the ball for a dog actually.
