For our first trip this year we went to the Swiss Valley Apple Orchard in New Glarus on Oct. 13. We went on a wagon ride through their orchards and pumpkin patches, then they took us inside and showed us how they harvest and sort the apples. We saw the apple press for making apple cider and got to have a glass of cider with an apple donut. Before we went home we spent some time rolling down their highest hill. It was a blast!

On Oct. 27 we painted pumpkins and after Halloween was over we made them into pumpkin cookies. Mrs. LaPointe had a delicious recipe.

November 1st we went to a clown class. Doesn't that sound like fun? Professional clowns showed us how they put their make-up on and we got to try it too! The clown made balloon animals for all of us and we played games.

On Nov. 8 Mom and I went to the "Computers Are Fun" program the council held at the Rock County University. We were the only ones in the class that had a web site and the Professor showed it to everyone and then showed us his. We had a great time because we spent the whole time browsing the internet. At home we have to pay by the minute for connection.

Some of the other things we have done this year were making pilgrim table decorations for Thanksgiving, we painted troop t-shirts, made Christmas decorations (lace angels) for the Albany Post Office and doily Valentines.

We are hoping to go to a Girl Scout horse riding camp this summer with our nut and cookie sales profits. Both sales were pretty successful and our chances look good. We are so excited about it.

This Spring we will be bridging to become Junior Scouts!!
