Grandma Ruthanne is my Mom's mother. She lives in Marshfield, Wisconsin which is about three hours from our house. I like to visit Grandma. She has a house in the country too, but hers' isn't in the trees so I can see the cows in the fields nearby. She lives with a grey hound named Bridget, and another dog named Sadie. She has a cat,Molly, that lives upstairs in her house, Molly doesn't like Bridget. Grandma has two button quail that live in a cage in her bathroom, at night they make a sound just like coffee perking, they are funny little birds. Grandma had chickens all named after folk singers like Arlo and Sally, but a stray dog got into her barn and killed them! We were really sad, she had them for a long time.

Grandma is a nurse in the Marshfield hospital. She works in the hospice where very sick people go and their families can visit. Grandma makes everyone feel better.

Besides all the other things she can do Grandma is also an artist. We have some of her paintings in our house. She did paintings of both Gary and I when we were babies. She paints us ghost town pumpkins at Halloween and some people have her paint really big pictures on their garage doors. Mama says I am artistic like Grandma. I would like to be an artist when I grow up.

Grandma also likes to travel and has gone to many interesting places like, Japan, England, Alaska, Canada, and much of the U.S.A. I like it best though when she comes to visit us. We love her very much!
