Mission Statement
The mission of the Girl Scout Council of Greater St. Louis is to serve the unique interests and needs of girls; to help girls reach their fullest potential and develop into caring and competent women.

Girl Scout Ideal Goals
That the purpose of Girl Scouting is to inspire girls with the highest ideals of character, conduct, patriotism, and service, that they may becom ehappy and resourceful citizens.

That the motivating force in Gril Scouting is a spiritaul one.

That the Girl Scout Movement shall ever be open to all girls and adults who accept the Girl Scout Promise and Law.

That the strength of the Girl Scout Movement rests in the voluntary leadership of its adult members, in the cooperation and support of the community, and in the affiliation with Girl Guide and Girl Scout movements of other countries through the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.

That the democratic way of life an dthe democratic process shall guide all our activities.

That the ultimate responsibility for the Girl Scout Movement rest with volunteers.

The Girl Scout Promise

Annual Membership Dues
Beginning October 1, 1997, the Girl Scouts of the USA annual membership dues is $7. Lifetime membership for adults is $175. The entire membership dues is forwarded to the national organization, none is retained at the Girl Scout Council of Greater St. Louis. The council is able to provide registration assistance to those families who may need assistance with the annual membership dues. Please call 1-800-727-GIRL to inquire.
