Then came the BIG day -- boy was I a wreck!!! I let Otter pick me up and suddenly we were moving and she took me into this big building I had been guarding. I didn't know what to expect!!

Turns out, in the middle of the building was more outside stuff -- there were plants and bushes to hide in and a big lake that I could lie next to and watch fish swim ('course I had never seen a fish before and didn't know what they were at first!)

So, Otter and I became good buddies and that's how she became my mom! I treated her real nice and one day, she decided to take me to another great big building that she called a house.

Country house

Well, I couldn't believe my luck!! It took a while to get used to after living outside for two years -- but then I found a couch that was softer than my old bush, and a huge bed she let me sleep in at night. And all the food you could ever imagine.

Boy, I was so happy in my new house -- no more big birds or noisy toys to scare me. But mom thought I might be a little lonesome, so pretty soon she found another cat and brought me a sister to play with. Now this was one smart little kitty -- she taught me all sorts of neato tricks.

tabby cat

You already met her -- that's Cleopatra aka Cleo aka Pea Head!

She can be so weird sometimes!! Like in the morning, she goes downstairs with mom and just stands and stares at the spot where our breakfast is supposed to be -- like she thinks that if she stares long enough, it's going to just appear like magic!!

But you know what ----- it works!!! Somehow, breakfast always shows up when she does that!!!

I just don't get it!!

And she can even tell time!! The same time every night, she goes to mom and says "meeooom" and somehow dinner appears. Since Cleo is the one that always gets our food for us, I always let her eat first, 'cause I was raised to be a gentleman!

She's real nutty but smart. She causes trouble sometimes and then hides and I always get blamed!

One more time, okay?
