Who Is Moondragon?
My life is filled with magick. I always was drawn to the spirtual world, and because of my background, experiences and opening myself up to who I really am in this lifetime - you could call me a witch. I learned that it takes hard work and dedication to learn, center yourself, and walk the path. Disovering the magick I always had within myself was the most incredible experience. Now I want to share it with others. I hope this web page can be a contact, a guide, networking, and many other things to me and the people who visit.
I was given the name Moondragon during my year and a day of training. I come from a long line of mystics and mediums. I grew up with superstitions and beliefs rooted in Czech folk magick. When I reached adulthood, I went through a year and a day of training, and grow upon the magick of my teachers and the magick and powers of my ancestors.
I also come from a tradition of witches who call upon dragons as familliars. One of my teachers, DragonHawk, was not only guided by dragons, but also by faeries. After I walked the path several years, I also became a teacher. A dear friend started his training, and was also drawn to dragons. Drakor was dedicated in New Orleans, on Ostara of 2000.
Now I once again am a teacher. I am working with two new, wonderful pupils who are still finding their familliars.
While dragons are my spirtual familliars, several other earthly ones find their place on my wheel of life. I am also guided by bats and rabbits.
I am a memeber of the Celestial Grove in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We are a group who join together in magickal crafting, discussion, support and community service. Last year, participated in Operation Christmas Child, which sends shoeboxes full of holiday gifts for children in third world countries. We are in the process of working on various other projects with non profit organizations, because we feel it is important to get ourselves out there was witches and pagans and paint positive images. We are a very ecclectic group and all have different backgrounds and experiences. As soon as one of our members completes a web site for the grove, I will inclde a link.
Aisde from being a full time witch, I have a very busy life. I am a features reporter full time for a large newspaper in southeastern Wisconsin. I used to live in New Orleans, where I worked for the Times-Picayune. While I was in Louisiana, I created a club on Yahoo! so that I can network with other Louisiana witches.
