Cheyenne's Flat Stanley arrived at Clearwater, KS on December 4 in the midst of a rainstorm. He is visiting on her grandparent's farm. The next day there was 7 inches of snow! He enjoyed watching Cheyenne's grandpa feeding the cows and the little calves kicking up their heels in the snow. He went to work at a flower shop and helped deliver poinsettias. They made people smile. He visited McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita to go shopping because his host is retired from the Kansas Air National Guard. One thing that was really neat is that right in the middle of Cheyenne's grandparents' farm was where the Chisolm Trail was run. That is where the cowboys drove cattle fro Texas to Wichita, KS. One mile from their house, you can actually still see wagon tracks. Stanley returned on December 21.

Preston's Flat Stanley spent his vacation time in Joplin, MO! He learned a lot of new things. He was able to help his hostess in her 7th grade Communications Arts class when she was making a travel brochure about Hawaii. He also got to attend a cake decorating class, where he helped make a wedding cake. Then he helped his host win an important soccer game between 4th and 5th grade. Finally he helped sell cars. Stanley returned to Seneca on December 17.
