Cool Princess Court 95

This year of 1995, was the very first Cool Princess Court that we had ever put on. It was filled up with 5 girls, wedding gowns, tickets for mothers, little jumpers and silver crowns with white fur for the Princesses. It was held mostly indoors and in Voter's living room. Every time the Princesses came in the room dressed up or when they were crowned, I would put on a song on my old synthesizer for background music.

Everyone always clapped when the girls came out in their pretty dresses and crowns or in the wedding dresses.

Outside in Voter's big backyard, they did their poems or songs in front of all the Moms.

Then we all went off in private to discuss who should be crowned the Queen. We decided that Jenny Shipman did the best performance because she had sung "Mary had a little lamb" in front of everyone and did so very bravely and even added a verse to her song.

So Jenny Shipman was crowned the Queen!!! She wore a silver crown expertly made of pipe cleaners, a beautiful cape, a white ruffley dress, white tights, and dressy shoes. She looked absolutely beautiful!

Two of the girls were upset that they didn't become the queen. So, the next year in 1996, we told the kids ahead of time that if they wanted to be in the Cool Princess Court they shouldn't get upset if they didn't get to be the Queen and to be prepared and brave. This helped that problem a lot!

We managed to record a conversation with the Queen on a tape recorder. I hope to find some pictures of that year soon.

Our Princesses 0f 1995 were:

Megan Hobizal, Kaylin Green, Sarah Shipman, Jenny Shipman, And Elsie Shipman
