| The Adventurers use this large seaplane by to bring supplies
to the
Lost Island. It is a one seater even though the cockpit has room for
one
more in tandem. The plane has a large separate cargo hold assessable
from
the top. The wings fold just outside the engine nacelles which suggest
that it is a surplus navy airplane. On this trip Miss
Pippin Read is at the controls.
The outer parts of the wings and the tail part are attached
with pins.
That way they can be taken off easily to produce a crashing plane. But
it also makes the engine nacelles rather bulky, though not too bulky in
my opinion. Note the clever use of technic beams with "heads" as the
aft
part of the engine nacelles. The propellers are attached in the same
sloppy
way as on the 5928. I wonder why the tail fin
is
black and not light grey as the wings.
There are an alternative model of an helicopter at the back of
the box.
