Adventurers

The Lego Adventurers theme was introduced in 1998 with the large Egyptian Desert Subtheme. The smaller Amazon Jungle Subtheme followed in 1999. The Adventurers theme is clearly inspired by the Indiana Jones films. But also the Jurassic Park films which is only the last to be inspired by "The Lost World" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle with the Dino Island Subtheme released in 2000. The newest subtheme, Orient Expedition takes Johnny Thunder on a thrilling adventure from India through the Himalayas to China.

The action takes place during the fascinating twenties and thirties when there was still much left to explore. You can also combine it with other themes such as Castle, Pirates, Western/Wild West and Town/City. The theme has both heroes and villains which helps kids define their own personality.

The section with the new Indiana Jones sets are now updated with inventories and a Who Is Who page.

•	LEGO now has an Indiana Jones website. So far it just has images for your desktop	January 2008
•	The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor movie will hit the theaters August 1st 2008. In the Far East, father-and-son duo Rick and Alex O'Connell unearth the mummy of the first Emperor of Qin - a shape-shifting entity that was cursed by the wizard Zijuan centuries ago. Unfortunately Evelyn will no longer be played by Rachel Weisz	October 2007
•	Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull movie will hit the theaters May 22nd 2008	August 2007
•	LEGO will make merchandise to the upcoming Indy IV movie!	June 2007
