Bom-Bom, as she was known to her grandchildren, grew up in Pennsylvania. She attended Cornell University, majoring in German. In 1932 she married Albert Morrell. They moved to Clermont, Florida, where he did well in the orange business. They later moved to Orlando. Although Al died at a young age, Bom-Bom stayed busy as a travel agent and traveled extensively.
